...got any pet peeves?....um, don't know!....I got a pet rock....... ................huh?.....noooo!...pet PEEVES!.... .....look it up!...where???.....in TomKow's Treasury of KNowledge??? Noooooooooooooooo!!!!.......YES!...
pet peeve (plural pet peeves)
noun
particular personal complaint: somebodys constant issue or topic of complaint Got any PET PEEVES??? I got a few!! People who let you embarrass yourself and don't tell you. Like, when your zipper is undone, or you've got unsightly food on your teeth, or you're trailing a wad of toilet paper on your shoe...and people think they're being polite by not saying anything. People who push all the buttons on the elevator Will it make the thing come any faster? No..... Grocery Cart Wheels It seems like every time I get a cart, it goes screwy on me. Maybe I should invent some neologisms to describe all the ways the wheels can get out of whack. Like that bizarrely violent shimmying the front left wheel sometimes adopts, where, if it were a living, breathing creature, you'd most likely rush it to the hospital? Or what about the wheel that decides it hit a speck of dirt and so can go no further. Easier to drag a spooked horse into a trailer than to get that sucker around the aisle. Then there are the ones that simply decide they are not wheels after all but compasses, and refuse henceforth to go any direction except north? And nothing short of crashing into the wall will dissuade them from their path.... When the Express Lane doesn't mean Express Your at the "Express" cash (10 items or less) and the twit in front has a year's worth of groceries and the dodo cashier doesn't say anything. Bad HAIR day? People's comments when you're at someone else's desk "Oh Gee Sally - nice moustache." "Sally - you're not looking yourself today." "Wow Sally, you look alot like Bob today." !@#$!@#$$%#$%....ok ok I'm better now...SMILE Old-boaters 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. Need I go on? Ok - you've seen them all over the place. They come from Florida and drive an old car that gets near-zero gas mileage, has jelly-suspension, and fins. The driver is typically octagenarian and tends to weave a lot. Except that from behind you can't even see if there's a driver. They should have a bumper sticker on the back that's just a steering wheel with a pair of knuckles and a hat. Welcome to Camp RUN-A-MUK!

Hello everyone. Just an update from my end: So far we still have electricity but no water! Thank goodness I stacked up on it. My sis don't have electricity yet but they have a gas stove and they have water. My bro don't have any electricity in their area and could not get in touch with them. I'm going to try again.
From my balcony,I see 2 trees down and one car got hit. I'm going down in a while to check on my car in front of my building (we have 5 buildings here). I'll check too if I can get more ice from our community center (we have a grocery and restaurant there) and see if they have any. Just in case.
As long as the power is on, I'll be able to join you guys later.
Beach, I hope you're OK and everyone else out there. No more rain but the wind is still very strong. Take care

Thought for the day :
"Man and wife make one fool."
You might be a drunk if...your only conversations with God are over a commode pleading "just help me stop puking and I'll NEVER drink again!"
Murphys Law of the day...(car laws)
Being dead right doesn't make you any less dead.
It's a little known fact that...
"Rhythms" is the longest English word without vowels.

Today's feeble attempt at humor for the lurking troops:
A truck driver is driving a truckload of penguins to the city zoo. Unfortunately, his truck breaks down, and it's going to take a while to repair. He sees another trucker and, desperate to get his job done, says "I'll give you $100 to take these penguins to the zoo." The second trucker agrees.
Later that day, the first trucker sees the second trucker walking along the street, followed by fifteen penguins in a long line. "Hey," says the first trucker, "You were supposed to take those penguins to the zoo!"
"I did," says the second trucker. "But there was still $50 left over, so now I'm taking them to a movie."
