Some people on here are lying or inferring things about Arnold that are not true! Wouldn't believe anything some of these people are saying about Arnold! Asked for sources -- there are none!

It depends. The laws which specify who can run in a general election are probably crafted with the term limits in mind. They would probably prevent someone who has served two terms from getting on the ballot. But the recall ballot laws were crafted at a different time-- do they specify anything that would restrict him as a two termer?

And if the only thing is a description for the Governorship which says that a person may serve only two terms, would not the CSC be who would decide what two terms is (even if the language is plain--see the decisions and precedents set by the SCOFLA).

Gray Davis: "I have important news for the people of California. I just saved a bunch of money on my auto insurance!"

("Of course, the savings will be more than wiped out by my auto registration fee hike.")

I think what Rush was doing in is comments about Arnold was setting the listeners straight on who and what Arnold is. There is clearly a misconception among many that Arnold is a republican, thus he is a conservative. He is neither. I didn't hear Rush in any way, shape, or form tell his listeners to not vote for Arnold.

I think the momentum effect will introduce Californians to all manner of Republican back-office types that will also help with the heavy lifting for Arnold.

He is a dynamic, mobilizing whirlwind who is faced with a fading, punishing business climate.

He will stimulate the California economy, and lowering taxes is the right start.

He will be perfect - the right man for the time.

There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.

I wish McClintock would quit vowing to void the electricity contracts. For one thing, he can't do it. It's not in his power.

And secondly, there are no valid legal grounds to do it. Without that, contracts are binding, even if you don't like them later.

You may be right and he could be successful on the federal level. That's how Prop 187 was derailed.
