Let BRAVO Know What You THINK About Their Homosexual Agenda!

This morning I decided to let BRAVO have an earful. Here is my email:

"As a DirecTV subscriber, I am notifying you I am permanently blocking BRAVO from my menu on my DSS receiver.

Your push for homosexual-'friendly' programming demonstrates your pandering to an audience that exhibits behavior that is not only detrimental to their own health, but the health and safety of families everywhere. I refuse to risk allowing my children to see promo material on your channel, so I find it necessary to block BRAVO and will encourage others to do so. Your advertisers will no longer reach me or my family members, and I have let DirecTV know of our all too easy decision to block BRAVO.

You may consider a homosexual audience on worthy of pursuit, but families who treasure their own lifestyles think otherwise."

I encourage others to let both BRAVO and their cable/DSS companies know that you're blocking their agenda-pushing programming!

Given the mental accumen of the average American and of liberals in paritcular, yes, I do expect this how to be a huge hit. Anything that plays down to man's baser leanings tends to be popular.

So I take it, then, that you wish to criminalize this consensual, private behavior (as opposed to all of the crimes you describe above, which are readily distinguishable) between adults?

IMO, real conservatives oppose government meddling in matters such as these. It's the religious fundamentalists who drive this issue, and I wish we were not so beholden to them.

I ate at a Bravo Restaraunt last weekend.

My waiter did seem a little fruity but I would not characterize the entire organization as having a homosexual agenda.

I would like to report that my meal was excellent.

I've also got Direct TV and I'm reasonably sure that blocking out specific channels is not a problem. I think it's an option in the bottom-of-the-screen menu on the channel guide.

The only thing I used to watch on Bravo was the occasional independent film, but they seem to be showing fewer of those and the programming has over the past year become more and more noticably and stridently gay.

It was at one time a very good channel but now most of their programming is rubbish. I wouldn't bother complaining to them directly. The steady loss of what little audience they have will force sponsors to make the same choices that led to the demise of Ellen and ol' Tub-o-Lard.

Unfortunately, in today's society, what used to be considerd devient or "wrong" is now considered perfectly normal.

That's a two way street. Many things once considered normal behavior are now accepted as evil i.e. slavery.

There's no sodomy going on on Bravo (at least not yet)! I don't get it -- either homosexuality is a behavior, in which case this show shouldn't offend anyone, since there's no sodomy going on; or homosexuality is an identity. It's inconsistent to argue the behavior angle and then object to a show about guys who are not engaging in the behavior you object to. Unless, that is, your beef is with cooking, redecorating, etc.

Buddy, religion is a set of beliefs, which is represented by certain types of behavior. It's certainly on par with something as fundamental to a person as sexuality.

I wouldn't call nose-picking a fundamental part of a person's being, like sexuality is. No one to my knowledge has felt so strongly about nose-picking that they have clung to it despite great oppression, like people have in the past with homosexuality and religion.
