Well it'll be interesting to see just how many are complicit in hiding him from LE...
To: marajade
I wonder if they're getting search warrants as we speak. I have a feeling the Justice Dept. will not think twice about charging someone who assisted Rudolph.

It is not a nice thing, and I refuse to be nice about it.Nor should you. This is the stuff wars are made of. The reasons for ending Saddam Hussein and Adolf Hitler are the very reasons we must end abortion.
But we have to be smart about it. And we must be guided by principle, not rage. Vengeance is not ours to have.

You really gotta wonder just how many on this thread would back up their words with actions too...

You really gotta wonder just how many on this thread would back up their words with actions too...That's a scary thought. Why anyone want to discredit Free Republic and Jim Robinson is beyond me as well.

We hate to hear that. Murphy is a great little town and we really don't want this much attention.
To: WarSlut
It's not about vengeance...it's about ending an abomination.
And as you can see from this thread on a so-called conservative forum, our work is cut out for us.
I'm not sure what is the bigger obstacle, sentiment or the institutional power of the proponents of infanticide. Given modern polling, I'd venture the latter.

We hate to hear that. Murphy is a great little town and we really don't want this much attention.Nobody does. Who thought he'd be caught, much less caught in Murphy, North Carolina, dumpster diving at 4 a.m., by a rookie cop to boot?
I can sympathize. When our neighbor's daughter was murdered by a jail escapee, the cops and press descended on our neighborhood like a horde of locusts. The press was worse than fly paper--we couldn't even go outside without a camera & microphone stuck in our faces about how we FEEL (and you're going to get that, too, until they get bored). The cops, by comparison, treated us very well, even though most, if not all, the neighbors had to be questioned.

He walked into a bar where I was having a beer a few years back (Johnson City, TN) and asked to use the phone. I listened while he called the bus station for schedule info. He left quickly after using the phone and less than twenty minutes later a female walked in asking about him (an alias by using only a description). Am I also a terrorist because I didn't call the FBI to report the incident?Oh my God, I think I'm going to be sick to my stomach now. Seriously.

Now that I have read this entire thread (WHEW!) I want to applaud you two for your posts on this thread.
In the face of some pretty nasty comments, you kept your cool and responded with civility and with facts.
Re: this comment: "You really gotta wonder just how many on this thread would back up their words with actions too... "-------I would imagine it is more hot air than actual actions. I have not seen any concrete actions advocated/admitted, thus far. Just a groundhog day moment as the rhetoric gets recycled with each new batch of the more extreme posters.

Believe me I am smart about it. I don't talk this extreme in the political realm that I am a part of. I realise it wouldn't get me very far. No one knows me on FR.I don't agree that I am being quided by prinicpal by watching what I say, but I am trying to be as wise.
To: Polycarp
If not, you should not try to imply Rudolf is any pro-lifer's hero. He's not, technically anyway, because any "pro-lifer" who supports terrorism ain't. There are those who claim to be pro-lifers who support Rudolph---there's no question. If you've missed them, you haven't been paying attention obviously.
To: Polycarp
Are abortionists your heroes? Also, a cheap shot to impugn anyone that thinks Rudolph is a terrorist as pro-abort.
To: MHGinTN
Please be careful what you say around here. On a long thread like this, some people might not get around to reading your explanation.
I wanted to throw up when I read that a FReeper had seen this man and had not done anything about it.
I'm glad to know that didn't happen. (In your case, at least.)
To: MHGinTN
Who cares? It's not like he killed anyone that was a friend of yours....(/sarcasm)
You no longer have my respect.
To: MHGinTN
Yes, MHG you'd best be careful what you say around here. Wouldn't want any FReepers to get the wrong idea about you and call the FBI!
(/sarcasm)

de nada.
Violence-based extremism doesn't work. It never has, whether it be from the extreme right or the extreme left.

Everyone said if the FBI would leave he would walk out of the woods by himself and he did. I know they have a job to do, but they all thought some hillbilly was hiding him. I really beleive he acted on his own.
These people here need money to bad not to turn him in.
