I'm a cynic.
There is one constant in the universe I personally know to be true; LEFTISTS LIE.

For amusement, I've also put on my tin foil hat.
We've read reports about the "War on Terror".
We've even read reports about the war on domestic terror involving groups such as the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and whacko groups such as Earth First !
All of these groups have one thing in common, they are LEFTIST organizations.
CNN is an organ of the LEFT.
Several LEFTIST bastions have been attacked, such as the bombing of an abortuary.
And something far far worse, a bombing of a 'church' where the Cult of the Anus worships, a socalled "gay" nightclub.
The LEFT needs to rally around something against America and the right. So, picking up some mentally ill homeless drunk living in a dumpster who claims he is the notorious Eric Rudolph will do just fine. After all, several of the authors of the famous Project Meggido paper used by Janet Reno's FBI were MEDIOTS themselves.
Is it possible this news release is related or something the LEFT has fabricated to rally the troops, so to speak ?

OK... I've taken off my tin foil hat and now and donned my hockey shin pads for all you pit-Yorkies.
Hump away. :)

You might want to click on my name and read the essay posted on my profile page regarding 'agree to disagree' ... there are some issues over which such is not rational.

Well, just look at the devisiveness it has caused here, Rudolph is caught and there are leftists accusations, baby killers etc, it sure has turned around just at FR, so what not a leftist agenda?

Am I also a terrorist because I didn't call the FBI to report the incident?

Terrorist maybe. Supporter of a man wanted for murder because of his political views definitely. Guilty of not doing your duty as a citizen, definitely.

If he has spent this time in W.NC it is amazing.

One of the leaders of the first FBI team that was looking for Rudolph gave an interview back in 2000 in which he said he was convinced that Rudolph was dead. One week later, Rudolph was added to the "Most Wanted" list of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

I was living in Canada at the time, and someone told me that this is usually a sign that the RCMP has received credible information about a U.S. fugitive crossing the border.

Rudolph was protected by folks like this and to hazard a guess there were more than a few people that knew exactly where this ol' boy was. Mind you they weren't going to tell the federal government, but they knew. They were not terrorists

Maybe not terrorists but certainly scum.

Guilty of hasty presumptiveness for not reading MHGinTN's follow-on post? Without a doubt.

But your cynical and calloused lack of compassion for the innocent unborn is already well-established.

MALICIOUSLY DAMAGED, BY MEANS OF AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE, BUILDINGS AND PROPERTY AFFECTING INTERSTATE COMMERCE WHICH RESULTED IN DEATH AND INJURY

I'm no fan of Eric Rudolph, but after looking over the charges from this FBI announcement, there is no way in hell this ever should have been a Federal case. Except to capture a fugitive who crossed state lines, that is.

This, BTW, is precisely why so many of the citizens out there in rural North Carolina had no interest in helping out the FBI.

However don't start asking me to turn family and friends into the national government.

What if one of them was involved in bringing down the Twin Towers?

I am not saying agree to disagree and your homepage are your opinions and that is fine. Other people differ, you don't have to agree. Many see this as a futile argument and just would rather not engage. That does not make them weak or wrong. I do not care if you would agree with my views, they are mine, I was not put on this earth to please you. You do not pay my bills or see me through my personal grief.

But understand my opinions are mine, strong and passionate as yours. It is not for me to explain myself to you if I am Pro Life or Pro Choice, it is not for me to voice any such thing to you. I am 52 years old, not your child and I understand where you are coming from and from me you'll get no judgmental criticism.

Either we are a nation of people who respect the law or we aren't... If we aren't... we are a uncivil society and no better than those with the likes of Saddam and Osama...

Either we are a nation of people who respect the law or we aren't . . .

I have no problem with that, but I have no respect for bullsh!t Federal laws, either.

Explain to me how a guy who bombs an abortion clinic is "affecting interstate commerce" but a guy who holds up a 7-11 is not.

I can't respect a law that allows the murder of 4000 innocent human beings a day. I consider a society that sits back and allows it to be uncivil.

I respond to posts as I read them. I don't sit down and write up files that contain all of the comments by each poster in order to discern everything about them. You'll note that many others responded the same way I did to the original post.

I've always been impressed by his elusiveness more than anything else. Apparently he lived his entire life as if he knew he would someday become a fugitive -- no credit cards, no bank accounts, very few official records of any kind, very few photographs, always worked for cash, always lived alone, etc.

This combination of things makes it almost impossible for law enforcement agencies to develop a profile of a fugitive.
