I honestly believe this entire statement and that Democrats ascribe to it.

Primarily because, it's completely bereft of even one logical, straight-forward, intelligent thought.

The entire statement is about feelings and when your political positions fall apart under the scrutiny of logic, all you're left with are feelings.

Slim posts are certified ISO9002.
Technically that doesn't exist any more, it's all revision 2000. Sort of like the White House. >:)

How do you know if you're a Democrat? If you've ever met someone down on his or her luck, and you wanted give them a buck so you could feel good about yourself (and then hoped they'd still there tomorrow so you can do it again), then you're a Democrat. If you have ever seen the look in a child's eyes of fear, of hunger, or of aspiration, and realized that you could use those feelings and emotions as a means of power acquisition, then you're a Democrat. If you have ever wanted leadership that had no need of common sense, that cared about acheiving power today but cared nothing about the future, and that courted partisianship over true progress, then you're a Democrat. If you believe that we are better off working together for the Democratic party than individually for the good of the country, then you're a Democrat. If you believe in socialism, "affirmative-opportunity", and no personal responsibility, then you are a Democrat.

He is a Democrat because Democrats fight for, and not just talk about, dismantling the American dream. They work to ensure that children grow up believing that they are helpless victims but that the government can prevent them from having to experience fear, neglect, discomfort, or hunger, and with the hopes and dreams that they will not have to work for or earn anything but will be provided with a better tomorrow free of charge. Unlike the Republicans (so far), they understand that in working together they are greater than the sum of our parts. Democrats strive to be courageous leaders devoted to party power and progress, becoming roadblocks, when necessary, in the name of partisan politics. They are the party of diversion and occlusion, of intransigence and desperation, and of wasted energy and false optimism.

He is a Democrat because they look for those who are downtrodden, neglected, and cast aside to use and defraud with the promise of a brighter future set in their dreams. He is a Democrat because they welcome you whether you're black or white or brown or red or a nice shade of purple, as long as you promise not to think for yourself and vote (often) Democrat. They welcome you whether you pray at a church or a mosque or a temple or a synagogue or at your kitchen table, as long as you do it in private and do not bring your antiquated beliefs with you into the public arena. They welcome you whether you're young or old or just don't want to tell your age, especially if you have a good lawyer on retainer and half a case to sue somebody for age discrimination. They welcome you regardless of what gender you are, what gender you want to hold hands with, or what gender you think you want to be. He is a Democrat because they don't care. This is the spirit of their Party and it's why he is proud to be a Democrat.

I am a Democrat because we welcome you whether you're black or white or brown or red or a nice shade of purple.

You see purple people, that's how you know you are a democrat.

Dims themselves tend to be green...with envy.

Right. And who runs nearly every disastrous, crime-ridden inner city in America, right down to the useless school system? Yep, Democrats.

You forgot to add....

I'm a democrat since I believe the rich are evil and need to be punished. I'm a democrat since I believe rural Americans are a bunch of back woods rednecks that need 'enlightenment'(forcefed). I'm a democrat since I believe that I'm the only one that should have guns. I'm a democrat since I believe in collectivism instead of individualism. I'm a democrat since I believe I know what is best for you. I'm a democrat since I believe government knows what is best. I'm a democrat since I do not believe in the death penalty, but I believe in offing babies. I'm a democrat because I believe criminals are misunderstood. I'm a democrat because I believe in speech codes on campus. I'm a democrat believe I believe in violent 'peace rallies'. I'm a democrat because I believe that the PLO homicide bombers are misunderstood, and that Israel is a terrorist nation. Lastly, I'm a democrat because I believe that Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, Fidel Castro, and Saddam Hussein are great men, and that the United States is evil.

Democrats strive to be courageous leaders devoted to progress, rather than be roadblocks in the name of partisan battles.

Then explain the partisan roadblock holding up the Estrada nomination, among others. Explain the partisan roadblock that caused the Texas Democrats to hide in Oklahoma so that a redistricting couldnt take place.

I am a Democrat because we welcome those who are downtrodden, neglected, and cast aside just the same as we welcome those who have the promise of a brighter future set in their dreams.

There is the key difference.

I am a Republican because we welcome the promise of a brighter future, not in our dreams, but in our sweat and tears regardless if we are neglected, downtrodden or cast aside.

Republicans don't just welcome those with dreams. We make dreams come true.

While you Democrats are out wishing and wanting and welcoming, we are out working.

If you believe in community, opportunity, and responsibility, teacher's unions, trial lawyers and using the court system to usurp the role of legislatures in creating laws then you are a Democrat.

I am a Democrat because we don't care where you are today, but where you dream you want to be tomorrow.

But God forbid if you dream of smoking a cigarette, own a gun, farm, lumber or build a house on your property, worship God in a public or private place, pay fewer or no taxes, reduce the size of the government, start and grow your own business, or express an opinion that differs from the official DNC position, then you're out of luck.

If you believe that bringing down the Bush administration is a top priority even if it means bringing down the USA, then you are a democrat. If you believe when the USA crumbles it will be replaced with a socialist state with you in a leadership role, then you are a democrat. If you voted for Clinton and are not ashamed of this today, then you are a democrat.

A better way of defining a Democrat is as follows:How do you know if you're a Democrat? If you've ever met someone down on his or her luck, and you wanted the government to help them, then you're a Democrat. If you have ever seen the look in a child's eyes of fear, of hunger, or of aspiration, and wanted the government to help them, then you're a Democrat. If you have ever wanted leadership that hadNO common sense, that cared nothing about the future, and that wanted partisanship over progress, then you're a Democrat. If you believe that we are better off not working, then you're a Democrat. If you believe in community, no opportunity, and no individual responsibility, then you are a Democrat.

Rewriting the rest of this tissue of falsehoods I shall leave to others.
