Watching her on the 1st holde right now. Looks like she just had to lay up. This is where her being a chick hurts her.

The announcer just said that more than half the field has laid up there so far.

Now, now, a putting game can be improved much ore eaisly than drive distance, accuracy, or middle game.

Depends on the type of racing. Click here.

"Not an amazon? A very normal, feminine build? Um...Normal for whom? :)"

She's 5'5 and looks about 120 -130 pounds - hardly anyone's definition of an amazon. And she's reasonably pretty. She doesn't have huge knockers - is that the complaint?

Too much sure money on the LPGA tour for her to pass up. Didn't she pocket about 2 million in purses alone last year?

She's married, and that's good enough for me to establish her heterosexual credentials.

Yeah, I don't get some of the guys here. I understand that they aren't amused by the circus atmosphere, and don't feel women are in the same league as men. And I agree for the most part. However, *this* woman is holding her own, and I don't care what anyone says about "Oh well 2 strokes off the lead is an eternity in the pro's." The fact is, this woman, on this day, is definitely holding her own in the upper part of the pack. She may finish in the middle of the pack. But the point is, that she is holding her own, because she is most likely going to be ahead of quite a few men, all of them elite pros.

And she's yet to go over par on any hole.

Uh, I'm talking about that 300 yd. hitter who lives in my community, not the woman playing in this tournament. I should be so lucky.

She is a machine off the tee, I'm not betting on her missing many fairways this week..

No one said women and men are completely EQUAL! The only thing put forth here is that it is possible that the VERY BEST WOMEN MAY BE AS GOOD AS THE VERY BEST MEN, that there may be women who can compete right alongside men... that doesn't say squat about the average being equivalent or that all men or women are equal... your complete inability to grasp that concept definately shows that handle of yours is a case of false advertising.

Are you going to argue that Annaka or any other woman would win equally as often as Tiger or the other "best men" on the PGA tour?

How many times are you going to keep changing the question? The original question asked for any sport where a top woman could beat a top man more often then 1 time out of 100. Every time you get an answer you don't like, you change the question.

No, Soerenstram would not win "equally as often", but I do think she's capable of winning if she played the tour every week.

The best female player in the history of golf finishes in the middle of the pack in a dull PGA tour event that is minus the best male players and on a course tailor-made for her talents under ideal weather conditions. Wow, I'm like so impressed.

The only test left, as far as I can tell, is how she handles a situation when something goes really bad.

That holds true for everyone. The really good players can stay in the moment better than the others. We shall see.

Andrade at -4
9 at -3
6 at -2
14 tied with Annika at -1
14 at par
15 below par

Half the field has yet to tee off

16 above her, 13 tied with her, 29 behind her. She's either dead in the middle (29 ahead and 29 behind), or she's as high as the 27th percentile.

See my post 458. Wasn't aware it was a par-5. However, this is what might separate her from the elite, since, as I say, getting on in 2 could mean a one-stroke difference. If there winds up being 3 par-5's on a given course, it could mean three strokes.

Her percentages on the fairway off the tee, would place her number 2 in the PGA, she's over 80% on the fairway last year. Only 1 current PGA player beat it..

Now fairways may be wider in LPGA, but still she is among the tops in this area.
