Interesting live footage on CNN
Posted on 04/12/2003 9:27:32 PM PDT by saquin
CNN reporter Brent Sadler traveling on a road very near Tikrit. The retired military officer in the studio keeps telling him to be careful. I find these live shots very nerve-wracking. It seems rather foolish for a reporter to be doing this, considering that Tikrit is a Saddam stronghold. Just a heads-up in case anyone is interested.

Risking their lives for the story is an improvement on selling their souls. It crossed my mind it might be a suicide mission. :-)

No, someone over there lied and told him the military had it all secured. It's safe buddy, go right in.

CNN didn't tell him a war was going on.Oh, so he thinks he's gonna run into Blixie and the UN inspectors? They needed more time, after all, cuz the inspections were working.

we may be watching our first live shooting death of a reporter, coming up here in a few minutes. Oh well, at least he's from CNN.
(Wanted to get that joke in before he got shot. Afterwards it would be in poor taste.)
