Interesting live footage on CNN

Posted on 04/12/2003 9:27:32 PM PDT by saquin

CNN reporter Brent Sadler traveling on a road very near Tikrit. The retired military officer in the studio keeps telling him to be careful. I find these live shots very nerve-wracking. It seems rather foolish for a reporter to be doing this, considering that Tikrit is a Saddam stronghold. Just a heads-up in case anyone is interested.

I think he may be getting a bit wierded out at this point. FINALLY some instinct kicks in.

Dont be ridiculous...the guy is going to push it all the way to the bitter edge...he wont stop until he has a tangible real world threat....what a rush...I wish I was there right now pushing the envelope

There's like 6 birds sitting on Saddam's head. LOL.

Tear down that (wall) statue!

moving to the "next" base, a Republican Guard base. I'm telling you, they are all in the underground city.

Risking their lives for the story is an improvement on selling their souls.

I wonder if CNN execs got on the satellite phone and said, "Hey, Brent, we're getting some really terrible publicity right now. Why don't you make a dash to Tikrit?"

The only thing missing now is that Sadler finds the POW's on this RG base.

ahhhh - They are counting in "Sâmarrâ" which has 207,700 (lat 34.40n/long 43.87e) (Tikrit is lat 34.61n/long 43.68e) So between both of them there is a pop 237,000+

moving to the "next" base

Sadler seems downright SADDENED that there will be no fight from the boys at Tikrit.

(Now I am really going to bed. G'night, freepers.)

Yes, Pelosi will have been correct, we could have found other ways to pull down that statue for less than $80 billion.

I would have done it for $79 Billion and not a penny more....
