Interesting live footage on CNN
Posted on 04/12/2003 9:27:32 PM PDT by saquin
CNN reporter Brent Sadler traveling on a road very near Tikrit. The retired military officer in the studio keeps telling him to be careful. I find these live shots very nerve-wracking. It seems rather foolish for a reporter to be doing this, considering that Tikrit is a Saddam stronghold. Just a heads-up in case anyone is interested.

This idiot Sadler is driving into Tikrit by himself(and 6 other CNN vehicles). Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE is missing. Everything has been abandoned.

I think that would be an act of regional suicide. there would be such an extraordinary demand on the American street to make the whole region a parking lot!!

I think this is CNN's last stand for the liberals. Brett Sadler on a daring mission to pull a Pristina and take Tikrit with a TV crew. If successful the Democrats will be vindicated, proving that the superior all-knowing media and brave goodwill instead of the military could have taken Iraq. Should have sent in Blix and the BBC. Yes, Pelosi will have been correct, we could have found other ways to pull down that statue for less than $80 billion.

I'm fairly sure the Ba'athists despised CNN. It was CNN that did the sucking up, and every time the Iraqis would kick them in the face, CNN would just suck up harder, and that would only make the Ba'athists despise them more.
I don't think the Ba'athists would do CNN any favors.

I did hear that too. Don't remember where. It's only appropriate if they've proven they've lied again. LOL
