Interesting live footage on CNN
Posted on 04/12/2003 9:27:32 PM PDT by saquin
CNN reporter Brent Sadler traveling on a road very near Tikrit. The retired military officer in the studio keeps telling him to be careful. I find these live shots very nerve-wracking. It seems rather foolish for a reporter to be doing this, considering that Tikrit is a Saddam stronghold. Just a heads-up in case anyone is interested.

there are no bodies, so I don't think they were gassed.

This looks like a video game. Yes, like when you don't have enough RAM.

(For some people, bread and circus are not enough. Hence, FreeRepublic.com)
If the whole population migrated, they couldn't go east: Iran. Saddam's people are not the most liked in Iran.
- North is Kurdish territory. Kurds don't like them either for similar reasons.
- South, South-east, South-west, are where US forces are concentrated.
- The only alternative would be to head north-west to Syria. The west is a desert and supplies are not abundant there.

Its the 'in' thing right now. Heck, even Madonna now has a BBC accent.

It's about the same but I think the trip East would have been safer than West to Syria. Either way, they've spooked out.

I have this feeling that the "bad guy" is going to come through some sliding door in a wall (you know, the one I can never find to open!)
