Video shows Saddam walking down alleged Baghdad Street. Typical Iraqi celebration with Iraqis dancing on street with guns. Saddam embracing a kid. I think you can see a fire the background from an oil well. Overcast day.

Gonna party like it's 1499! (Kudos to the FReeper that came up with that.) That's from Weird Al Yankelovic's song, Amish Paradise. (That's a parody of some rapper's song, Gangsta Paradise.)

CNN's infobabe is wetting her panties, so it must be fake.

MSNBC interviewing CENTCOM. The spokesperson discounted the tape as a "bad performance" and a "sideshow."

He was running a cult of personality on top his ruthless dictatorship.
An appearance by Saddam is not to inspire confidence but fear. It say's "I remain". It says "I will reach out from the grave to strike you down along with your family."
It gets more Orwellian by the day. He's not Stalin, he's Big Brother. I've read that he may have died as far back as 1998. I don't think I believe that though because one of the sons would have taken over or at least there would have been a big fight. What I DO believe is that we got all three of them and this charade is the only way the Gang of Thugs® can keep the wheels from coming off.
This regime is truly like the proverbial chicken without a head, running around in circles spouting blood, unaware that it is already dead.

I thought we had geosynchronous satellites that we could park over a given location. I thought that they had rocket motors on them so they could be moved from one orbit to another. I thought we just launched another spy satellite within the past few weeks, or maybe that was Japan.
I can't wait till we have armed satellites. Talk about ZOT power!

One of the little known things about Saddam is his back problem. He's scaled back his public appearances these last few years because he can't walk more than a few yards without great effort and didn't want to give any indication of his weakness (among other reasons). I doubt that the years have improved his condition. It's most like a double in an old video.

"I heard some female reporter from Jordan say that there have been so many doubles of Saddam in the last few years that she has no idea which one is real now!"
Is it possible that he has actually BBEN dead for the past few years and the boys have been running the show, covering up that dearest daddy is dead?

Saddam makes the rounds, lifting spirits high, high, high! Saddam could be heard singing " It's A Beautiful day in our neighborhood............"

Couldn't these street scenes be from the '90's? Afterall, we bombed Baghdad during Clinton's term as well as during the Gulf War and that could explain the smoke. The guy in these films looks too young to be the Saddam in the other videos we've seen of him seated and speaking.
To: ILBBACH
There's no way that can be recent - Saddam would NEVER walk down the middle of the street knowing that Americans are so close. There's no way that can be recent - Saddam would NEVER walk down the middle of the street knowing that IRAQIS are so close.

The upper-right picture in post #50 comes from
this news article about distinguishing the real Saddam from his body doubles.
A Google search for "Saddam double ears" (without the quotes) will turn up this and other articles.
The lower-right picture (in #50) morphs the left half (which the article says is the real Saddam) into the right half (which is the guy we usually see on TV).
Next time you see the official portrait of Saddam hanging on a wall, look closely at the ear.

Geez, is that geraldo, I see?
To: hoosiermama
That may be a good possibility and why he is very seldom seen in public. This public display today caught all the people that have studied him off guard!
