Could you be a little more specific than "???"?

Perhaps, going to meet his God, he realized what a terrible mistake he made endorsing Hillary Clinton.

My former Senator was the only NY Senator in my lifetime (born shortly before he was elected in 1976) that I had any respect for. Scum'ato, UpChuck and Shillary are not fit to clean one of Moynihan's pints of stout.
That being said, DPM was a better sociologist than he was a politician (Beyond the Melting Pot with Nathan Glazer being one of my favorites). He remained an honest man, yet ultimatly a Democratic loyalist. Still, I would much rather have him in the Senate than most Democrats or even a few Republicans.
RIP Paddy. From sleeping in abandoned buildings to academia through the Senate, you were an inspiration to many.

Matthews was an aide to O'Neill.

God knows I have disagreed with Moynihan on a lot of things.
But one thing was indisputable. He was a patriot first and a democrat second. The last of the old school democrats, the loyal opposition. May he rest in peace.

Goodbye Mr. Moynihan. I rarely agreed with him, but I respected him.
He's the last of his kind.

Paddy had his faults but being a "pseudointellectual" was not one of them. He could run circles around most so called "intellectuals" such as Noam Chomsky and Paul Krugman, to say nothing of the average Senatorial dolt.

The Socialists took control of the Democrat Party on Moynihan's watch. Liberals no longer have a party; they hang onto the Democrat Party like hemorrhoids on the rectum of a wombat.

The last honorable Democrat.Who proved it in so many ways except the one that mattered most: the impeachment of William Jefferson Blythe.

Well put. The Left defines the word "intolerance."

Ms. Couric might do just that tomorrow. I heard that Ms. Colonic interviewed the mother of the guy in the 101st who was killed by the Muslim and asked her how it felt. She also interviewed the children of the man who kidnapped Elizabeth Smart and asked them if they had been sexually molested by their father. So...I guess she will interview some family member of Moynihan and ask them some other horribly intrusive question.

I just saw a clip of Hillary giving a "eulogy" for him. Hillary's eulogy had all the sincerity and warmth of a used condom discarded on Sunset Strip.
Someone of Moynihan's stature deserved much, much better.

Right now, I'd rather have him as my Senator than mrs clinton. LOL, I'd rather have a mule (with apoligies to Caliglia).

Real sad, I remember reading on a thread that when the commies were protesting action in Afghanistan last year in Washington DC, Mr. Moynihan joined some of our FReepers in countering them.
He was one of few democrats that I respected.
