They probably get their military intel from CNN: "The sandstorms have stalled the allied advance and they are bogged down. Air support is grounded. Under extreme fire from dedicated paramilitary. Things aren't going as well has we had planned. Expect thousands of allied casualitites......."

I bought my Gadsden flags on eBay for less than $10. They fly proudly on my porch.

Woops. Bad plan to leave the city and get out into the open. As I said on earlier post, they'd make a target rich environment and thus they did! Good shooting jet jockies.

That was one tough chick, and I have no doubt she could kick my butt.

I saw that interview with "Thumper." And, even though I don't know you, she probably could kick your butt :-))

The master military mind of Saddam strikes again. Oops! He did it again.

I hear Brittany Spears is planning Iraqi military strategy.

Not if the press reports coalition forces slaughtering civilians trying to flee from danger.

Let's wait and see what Franks and Rummy say, and then compare that to what the press says.

The Iraqis are just lucky they didn't call out the Royal Scottish Mimes.

Warcrime. Mimes are more insidious than a Weapon of Mass Destruction, and more painful than a dull dental drill at low speed. I would be out there with the ani-war protestors in a minute if we were to unleash such a hideous weapon!

I was in field artillery, and had wanted to get us a flag for use in the field.
Kinda like a thumbing one's nose at teh OpFor type deal.

I'd played around with having a copy of the Yellow Gadsen flag made, but in military subdued colors.
Everyone from the XO on down thought it was a good idea.
The Captain killed it in the planning stages.

I'm going to check with the local banner factory to see if they'd do one for my own personal use instead.
Ebay.
Hmm...
I'll have to check that out as well.
Thanks for teh info.

Anywhere we are not!

They know we have moved north and they are trying to move away from us. Just my guess???

You and me both. I hope they didn't fill the trucks with injured or old people or something horrible. I wouldn't put it past them.

Wouldn't Iraqi forces staying within Baghdad have bogged Coalition forces down, and cause more civilian casualties? I do not get their plan, unless there really isn't one.

I agree that its a puzzlement. After Gulf I they should have understood the power of air superiority. They'd have had better luck in a town filled with anthrax than taking on A10s is the open.

Oh well, 1000 trucks x 10 soldiers =10,000 martyrs x 72 virgins=72,000 virgins. And that's for just one battle.

Do they put in a requisition? Do they have that many in stock?

"Iraqi column of vehicles leaving Basra have been mostly destroyed but Coalition Forces expend more rounds than planned. "

The article will describe it as a "stunning setback to the coalition war plans, causing the military leaders to abandon there strategy, regroup and consider withdrawing from Iraq."

Probably SH sending them south to take back Umm Qasr. His ego won't let him believe that they have lost the only port in Iraq. He's probably been watching the news on Iraq-TV (or ABC).

They gotta go reload, my friend.

I am probably giving the Iraqi's too much credit for operational-art here, but my first thought concerning the Basra column was feint. The real action is going to happen further north and our Attack Helos are socked-in. It's gonna be a slugfest.

Here's hoping Scotty takes one in the head for the team, at some point.

Line him up next to Asan Akbar and save a bullet.

CNN reports coalition is dangerously over-quota for bullets.
