We know that Free Republic is monitored at the White House.
I am asking all of you to post your good wishes and support for the Commander-in-Chief on this thread, in the hope that one of our friends on the White House staff will select the best of the best of them and put them on the President's desk in the next few days.
George W. Bush is an incredibly talented man, with great capacities. But he is human, and needs encouragement in trying times, like all of us do. This period of history is about as tryng as it gets for a leader.

Dear President Bush:
Thank you so much for your strong, courageous leadership during this very difficult time and the difficult decisions that you have faced. As our forces go into battle also know that our thoughts and prayers along with the others posted here are with the forces as if they were our own children. This battle is not only fought on the ground, in the air, or on the sea but also in the heavenlies as we all stand together. As I watch the news and read the postings on FreeRepublic I then know how my prayers should be directed. Remember the battle is the Lords. God bless this country and God be with our forces.

Dear Mr. President:
Good luck with Iraq and I am pulling for you and the troops.
There is no doubt in my mind that God has put you in the Presidency at this time. You are the hope of all of us.
Thank you.
To: EternalVigilance
Mr. President:
I doubt any President before you has had to confront what you have had to confront in just your first two years. And I'm certain the American people don't know the half of it.
Please know that the vast majority of Americans are behind you in this most noble of quests: to put an end to the kind of terrorism we all witnessed on September 11th, and to build a world ruled by civility even -- perhaps especially -- in our disagreements.
I pray for you, and our troops, daily.
Thank you for your courage and leadership. I hope if someone does call your attention to these well-wishes, you will also pass along everyone's gratitude and best wishes to Prime Minister Blair. We would have to go back to another wartime British Prime Minister to find a friend that has gone the extra mile for us as much as he has.
Most Sincerely
To: EternalVigilance
Mr. President,
I think your doing a good job.
You have my full support.

Mr. President Bush,
I wish you to know that my family and I have you in our prayers. We are so proud that you also look to God for answers. I may not support each and every thing you do, but when a President humbles himself before God, I am very proud of Him. You probable have the most difficult job in the world, but putting God Almighty first sure makes this small citizen proud.

Dear Mr President,
Thank you for taking a courageous stand against evil - for trying to build a coalition, in good faith, and yet being willing to proceed without one. Thank you for trying to follow the leading of God in your life. We are all praying for you and for our troops. God bless you and your family.

Mr. President,
Sorry I was a bit impatient while you tried to get some resolution with the UN for Blair. After hearing Mr Blair speak in parliament, I am thankful that we got his participation. He is indeed a loyal ally.
My prayers are with you and our fine troops in the Iraqi theatre.

Mr. President,
I have been so very impressed with both you and Tony Blair over the last several months. Both of you have demonstrated leadership skills of historic proportions. Thanks to both of you for being men of principle and integrity and for having the courage to do what you believe to be the right thing regardless of the political fall out. Well done, sirs! Well done indeed!

This IS the premiere conservative website on the web.
The WH has the finest and most potent political operation anywhere on the planet.
What would you think of them if they were dumb enough NOT to be watching and learning about what their base thinks about what is happening?
If you want to know the thoughts of the base of the GOP, the majority party in the U.S., the only place to go to find out in real time is FR. That's a fact.
Besides, I have seen events follow developing consensus here too many times to count.

Dear Mr. President,
We may be in a new time, and a hard time....but you are in the right place at the right time. We are indeed fortunate to have you as our leader.
May your faith guide you in the decisions that lie ahead. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
