They will do thier "combined" statement. Go home, give thier solo statements.
Coupla hours later, BOOM! So, Monday or Tuesday for me.
Keeping troops on a "hair trigger" for any long period of time is destructive. Kinda like feeding a pit bull kittens its entire life, then one day getting a kitten for a pet.

Would love to live there. This is one of the not so breathtaking (as the other islands) pictures in the Azores.

I say March 21. I think the President will give either 48 or 72 hours for people to get out of Iraq - he promised he would do that. My mother is hoping for March 20, her birthday, but we'll see. It depends if he gives 48 hours or 72.

Have no fear about this war going south on us. Read your American History. We've always managed to come out on top, except for Vietnam. When you let the military do it's job and the Generals run the war instead of politicians, then we won't have any more Vietnams. Besides, I think we should have a "draft for the willing" and clean out that whole neighborhood. Whatdya think.

The war began in 1991. It hasn't ended.

I can tell you from personal experience the Azores has nine beautiful islands. We use to fly into Loges Air Base there quite frequently and would always pick up the great Portugees wines. Flying in during daylight was absolutely beautiful.

I saw the diamond report, but discounted it. I could see him, if he were younger, or maybe his sons now, taking to "the hills" or going underground ala OBL -- to fight on as guerilla terrorists. But to take a forced retirement at the hands of infidels, even if it is to a fellow-travellers country (Libya?). No, the humiliation would be too much. He'll die first (probably after launching everything he can, most of that at Israel), and allow many of his countrymen to die along with him.
I also don't think he'll be plugged by one of his own people. That IS something that Arabs would do! But I don't think anyone is around him except those who are completely, fanatically loyal -- to the point that they know they'd be executed by the western armies if they were found.

This is a no brainer. Bush is going to eliminate Saddam, the so called dominant media and the Hollywood wierdos by having a major announcement on Sunday, March 23 about 30 minutes after the Oscar Awards start. Won't that be fun.
To: FlyingA
Yep and all the SpecOps worldwide. And the Iraqi AF= history, other than whats hidden.

There have been over 1000 sorties a day over Iraq. When the air war begins in earnest, it will look like just any other day. Well, except for the precision bombs falling on Baghdad.
I predict March 20.

Amongst Arab-type tribes, this is the greatest humiliation of all for a leader -- it makes them an anti-martyr. Does the name Ayatollah Khomeni mean anthing to you?
To: Jhoffa_
There will be a secret air drop of the 101st and other special forces in the oil fields with orders to preserve and hold the fields.

I have to believe even if he had intentions to leave it won't be via the airport this time. The US will have the Baghdad airport under control probably within the first hour of any official start of war.
