Absolutely bizarre! I haven't been following this story and knew nothing about it until yesterday. One thought comes to mind after reading the linked article (and others) which all seem to suggest that the kidnapped teen and his abductors have been around in public the whole time, undisturbed by the authorities or by the citizenry. That thought is, political correctness and what I call extremist tolerance, that we have been seeing in this country, are much at fault here. It's a miracle indeed that she has been found and that the police officers who found her, and interviewed her didn't just walk away after the initial conversation! Back to the diversity re-education camp for them!

The article is bogus. The Salt Lake PD addressed this issue specifically. The screen was cut from the outside.

furthur more it strikes me as odd when I see the girl in recent pictures. She doesn't look like she has gone though any major tramatic event. Just all smiles and bubbles as she sits at the center of world attention.

Yes. It is a prevelant attitude in Utah. I believe that this in conjunction with a dismissive attitude towards polygamy is a recipee for disaster. There was a show on polygamy on A&E last week and they flat out asked the governor why arrests aren't being made. His response: We don't have enough jail space! The message then becomes, lay off enforcing plural marriage crimes.
