ANNOUNCEMENT: D.C. CHAPTER COUNTER-PROTEST OF ANSWER ANTI-WAR MARCH 3/15/03

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us this Saturday, March 15, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. as we hold a patriotic counter-protest of the so-called anti-war march being held by IAC-A.N.S.W.E.R. in Washington, D.C.

While professing to be against war and racism, the groups behind this march have strong overtones of anti-semitism and support communist governments that wage war on their own people and other nations.

The D.C. Chapter will be making a patriotic moral stand against the marchers' anti-Americanism and willful silence about the barbaric, terrorist regime of Saddam Hussein.

We will also be sending a message of support to our men and women in uniform fighting the war on terrorism overseas and on the home-front.

Survivors of Saddam's reign of terror, many of whom are American citizens, will join us to put the lie to those who claim that the Iraqi people do not want to be liberated and to speak out about Saddam's crimes against humanity.

When: Saturday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: North sidewalk of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 15th Street and 9th Street.
Meet at 15th and Penn. at 1 p.m.

Bring: American and Gadsden flags (large and small), along with signs bearing messages supporting our troops, President Bush, America and the war on terror.

Weather: Mostly sunny, temps in the low 60s.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

What Kristinn said is MOST IMPORTANT! We are always peaceful, no matter how many flip-offs we receive, and no matter the number and content of curses flung our way; even when they shove us or grab at our signs and try to start a fight. We hold our ground and we hold onto our signs; we stick together and watch one another's backs and if there is trouble - we make sure that the LEOs are alerted and they take care of removing the troublemakers.

FOX-5 just showed some footage of our January rally as part of a story on this Saturday's anti-war march.

They were talking about the high costs of police protection for the anti-war marches. The funny thing is, our rallies require nowhere near the police presence the leftists' rallies need--and what police are there are to protect us from the peaceniks.

I wonder if that would be violating any 501(c)(3) rules (not that I give a rat's *ss, since people should be able to donate how they please when they please, within moral guidelines, of course)? Just curious.

Suggestions:
• sew two flags together back to back, leaving a neck opening along the top and arm openings on the side. Wear them like a poncho.
• Find some way to play the music -"HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN?" right up close to their rally- VERY loud if possible
• Most importantly, have at least two 'disguised' friends monitoring our people with video cameras at all times!!!
• maybe get other american patriots to learn the words to the song and sing along.
• maybe get dozens or hundreds of people to make the flag ponchos, hold hands and spread out. Would be very impressive for the cameras, (and for the trials of the protesters later if they get violent).

Of course Brian Becker, commie a**hole says the "attacks" against him are without merit.

And what is it with "mainstream journalists" that makes them so wimpy in how they write things. Like this, for instance:

"The ANSWER coalition has drawn the ire of critics, some of whom contend that it is a front group for the socialist Workers World Party, of which Becker and others in ANSWER are members."

Members?! MEMBERS!? Becker is not simply a member, he travels the world (on the WWP dime) to communist-held countries and writes and speaks glowingly of the repressive and murderous regimes.

Hey, everybody! These "anti-war" rallies and these "anti-war" communist leaders aren't going to go away on their own. So when is the rest of right-thinking America going to get off its collective BE-hind and make its voice heard, and chase these vermin back into their nests and out of America's face?

Sorry for the rant, but I'm about sick of having to counter these idiots all the time.
