The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us this Saturday, March 15, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. as we hold a patriotic counter-protest of the so-called anti-war march being held by IAC-A.N.S.W.E.R. in Washington, D.C.
While professing to be against war and racism, the groups behind this march have strong overtones of anti-semitism and support communist governments that wage war on their own people and other nations.
The D.C. Chapter will be making a patriotic moral stand against the marchers' anti-Americanism and willful silence about the barbaric, terrorist regime of Saddam Hussein.
We will also be sending a message of support to our men and women in uniform fighting the war on terrorism overseas and on the home-front.
Survivors of Saddam's reign of terror, many of whom are American citizens, will join us to put the lie to those who claim that the Iraqi people do not want to be liberated and to speak out about Saddam's crimes against humanity.
When: Saturday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: North sidewalk of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 15th Street and 9th Street.
Meet at 15th and Penn. at 1 p.m.
Bring: American and Gadsden flags (large and small), along with signs bearing messages supporting our troops, President Bush, America and the war on terror.
Weather: Mostly sunny, temps in the low 60s.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Breaking News; News/Current Events; US: Connecticut; US: Delaware; US: District of Columbia; US: Maryland; US: New Jersey; US: New York; US: Pennsylvania; US: Virginia; US: West Virginia
KEYWORDS: answer; dcchapter; march15rallies; march15rally

While your there, visit your National Grange Hall.
National Grange Headquarters Building 1616 H St. NW Washington, DC 20006
Built in 1957 - The original headquarters was located on Lafayette Park. The 11-story landmark National Grange headquarters building in Washington, D.C. was dedicated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on June 29, 1960, and is the only private edifice in a federal block across from the White House. It serves as a non-governmental headquarters for agricultural and rural families. A professional staff administers policies established annually by democratic Grange processes at local county, and state levels.
Go DC Chapter!!!

I, along with a bunch of my friends, will be there on Saturday. Last night we painted the big rock in front of West Potomac High School in Alexandria, VA. I'm going to try to get some pictures so I can post them on here. We painted a huge American flag on the top and then wrote "Support our Soldiers" on the side. We've also got an Einstein quote that says something like "The world is a dangerous place. Not because of those who are evil; but because of those who do nothing about it." We also have "Give self defense a chance!" on there somewhere. We're holding a meeting at the school tomorrow to see who is interested in attending. Can't wait to come!
To: farmfriend
We'll pay a visit there soon (when we get the time :-) Thanks for your support.

Oh, we'll be in town this weekend from AZ ~ we're staying at 15th street and Penn Avenue, so it just depends on how our "sightseeing is going" but I would really like to participate!

Today on Fox News Cable they did a segment on who pays for these ANSWER marches and a couple of other big ones.....it was astounding. The investigation by Fox was to find out who paid for all the port- a- pottys (LOL), printed signs, etc. ANSWER started up to protest the Gulf War and was sponsored by those sympathetic to Castro and COMMUNISM! So it is true. They have UN NAMED large contributors who are able to TAX DEDUCT their contributions. I am interested in that one! There is a huge story in here somewhere...
GOOD LUCK on this effort to support our great troops and nation! You guys hold those signs really HIGH for all of us who are with you in spirit but hang out in fly over country!

"Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more, or fill the wall up with our English dead."
With these words, Henry V urged his soldiers forward during the siege of Harfleur in 1415, heartening his weary soldiers to gather their remaining energy one more time. In retrospect this battle preserved the independence of England.
The DC Chapter Warlord calls a meet.
Who am I to deny him?
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother;
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,

Do your sightseeing in the morning. Take a break and stand up for America with the D.C. Chapter for a few hours. Then, go back to sightseeing.
