Members of the DC Chapter of Free Republic are conducting a surprise FReep of the March for Peace organized by NOW and the Code Pink Ladies and it is going on as I type.
The Now and Code Pink Ladies will be joined by Raelian women (and Raelian men in touch with their feminine side) who plan a disrobing ceremony in front of the White House. Reports from the scene tell me that there's a bunch of Howard Stern fans who came to the White House today for the unveiling.
Positioned on the North side of Lafayette Park, inside the barriers, and ready to greet the "Peace" marchers are: Jimmy Valentine's brother, kristinn, tgslTakoma, daughterofTGSL, Cal, Exit148, Doctor Raoul and BillF. They have been interviewed already by Agence France-Presse and have had some spirited debates.
Lafayette Park is surrounded by a barricade fence and those marching will be confined to H Street, N.W. and 15th and 17th Streets. There are smaller groups (remember the 24 or less protest rule) currently allowed inside Lafayette Park and in front of the White House. If there is a confrontation, the DC Chapter members have been told they will be moved.
There are lots of smaller groups of people coming to the march, but they don't seem to know where it is and they are asking the FReepers for directions. Courteous as always, we are telling them "It's 12 blocks up and turn left at Bagdad."

The media is out in force for this march. Most of the tourists have come to see the naked Raelians.
The march was supposed to start at 1 p.m. but they have not reached the White House yet.
Don't bother these morons with facts. It only confuses them.
Hysterical means pretty much "like a woman" from the Greek (transliterated) hyster(y sounds more like eu)- woman. NOWchiks are hysterical- always.
At least when their boy tyrant, Clinton, was in power he did all his own rapes. Of course, he had others do the the "suicides" for him.
Liberals are mostly NOT confused by facts. Reality is so far outside their worldview that when they hear facts being spoken, all they hear is static. Facts are simply not relevant to their view of the world or to their arguments and positions on issues. Facts do not discomfit people who argue-even think- in slogans.
That's a bit scary. Creepy, actually. And it fits.
Well, I just got home...yowzwers, what a day!
I have some pictures to post, but not a lot... we all were doing double and triple duty holding signs, holding bullhorns, watching over one another as multiple assaults... some which met the "battery" requirements... were not responded to by the DC Police.
Secret Service and Park Police were at their stations behind the barricades at 17th and PA Ave, and they stayed there as they were busy enough trying to hold the line against the "peaceful" girls and girly-men.
We only had one MPDC officer who was apparently assigned to us, and he stayed at our corner only through the first contraction of marchers...maybe peristalsing is a better word for these wretched examples of womanhood. Their mouths were definitely full of excremental (is that a word?) language. He did escort the woman who assaulted Doctor Raoul and me off to the side and gave her a talking-to.
Anyway, the DC officer left shortly after the main body/small bowel of the movement had passed. When the second and third and fourth waves peristalsed by, we had no DC police nearby us, and that gave the "peace" protesters the chance to show their true colors. Flip-offs became a very common hand gesture, curses and cruel insults aimed at my daughter and the other women in our group, and then came the actual physical assaults by the woman and then her brother; first on Kristinn and then on me.
The DC Police did not come to aid us, nor did they show up to pull the violent man aside. His "peaceful" comrades, shielded him from identification, they surrounded him and he walked on the far side of the crowd until he could get away from the folks in our group who had cameras. I followed him from across the crowd, and told the "peace" marchers that they were a violent and angry lot; and of course they continued to prove my point as they surrounded me and jostled me and my belongings whenever I stood still (outside their pink-beaded chain of peace) to photograph the violent peacenik. They took turns blocking my camera, and my view for several minutes.
I'm a patient woman, so I continued to work my way around their thug-line until I got a clear view of the guy, and then I snapped away with the camera. I have plenty of very good shots of this guy, and I will be contacting Chief Ramsey about the incident. The fact that the original attack by the guy was witnessed by a reporter for Time magazine should cause Chief Ramsey, Suzie "Medea" Benjamin, NOW and the other leftist leaders some amount of indigestion. Ramsey can tell reporters that "the day went well" and "it was a peaceful march" and "everyone's rights were respected" all he wants; but that don't make it so.
Folks, the leftists are getting restless. They see their golden opportunity of sowing the seeds of violent protests disappearing before their eyes - across America - as everyday folks like us are taking to the streets to call these so-called "peace marchers" exactly what they are; and that is a mob of violent leftists.
There were many people marching with the Code Pink women today who were sincere in their wish for a peaceful resolution to the troubles with Iraq, and we had many discussions with them; and more than a few were shocked to witness the anger and violence of those they marched with. The numbers of folks who will march with these groups is dropping with every outing and incident that occurs.

All in all, it was a very good day for outing the violent dark side of the leftists who run these "peace" protests. All we had to do was stand on a street corner with truthful signs (and our clothing: "Fry Mumia," "Second Amendment Sisters," "Saddam costume," and "Army" shirts) - and that set them off. They seem to think that the First Amendment only applies to them.
Jimmy Valentine's brother, Doctor Raoul, Cal, Exit148, dagnabbit, BillF, Kristinn and dear daughter - you're the best of the best! We really were human shields against the leftist terrorists today.
