Former Clinton press secretary Joe Lockhart angrily defended his old boss yesterday against a 1978 rape allegation and charges that he blew a deal for Osama bin Laden's arrest, after talk radio host Rush Limbaugh suggested the ex-president should be asked about the two scandals during upcoming appearances on CBS's "60 Minutes."
"Bill Clinton won't talk about the stuff the American people really want to know. He's not going to address Juanita Broaddrick or giving the North Koreans two nuclear reactors to play with or rejecting three offers to take custody of bin Laden," Limbaugh said yesterday.
Bristling over the remarks, Lockhart told the Washington Post that the nation's top rated radio talker should "keep his mouth shut."
The ex-press secretary then described Clinton's reported million-dollar "60 Minutes" contract as "just one way to continue being part of the public service system."
Clinton has never denied a rape allegation by Arkansas businesswoman Juanita Broaddrick, who told the Wall Street Journal in Feb. 1999 that he brutally assaulted her in a Little Rock hotel room while he was Arkansas attorney general.
He was asked about Broaddrick's charges just once, in March 1999, and told ABC News reporter Sam Donaldson, "There's been a statement made by my attorney. He speaks for me. I think he spoke quite clearly."
No reporter has ever asked the ex-president about his Feb. 2002 confession that he personally turned down a deal for Osama bin Laden's extradition to the U.S. in 1996.
"We'd been hearing that the Sudanese wanted America to start meeting with them again," Clinton told New York's Long Island Association. "They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America."
Hear the bombshell bin Laden admission that Clinton won't discuss on "60 Minutes."

I am listening to Rush defend himself now. Rush is firing off against Clinton.
Rush said
"Sure Hillary is excited about this, she will know where Bill is for at least the 45 seconds that he is on the show"

Is Beelzebubba making threats?
To: kattracks
Rush is talking now about the Howard Kurtz interview with Clinton and Lockhart's "Rush should shut up" comment.

Rush responding to Lockharts threat. Lockheart told Rush to shut his mouth.
"Former Clinton spokesman Joe Lockhart said that Limbaugh should "keep his mouth shut" and that the debates are "just one way to continue being part of the public service system," in addition to Clinton's global work on AIDS and other issues."
Rush responding by saying...
"This sounds like a verbal threat..maybe I should get a restraining order. Clinton brought up my name without being prompted to by anyone."

I think Al Sharpton is onto something with his silence on the Brawley matter. The media is entirely too silent on asking Clinton anything controversial. Here is yet another set of examples.
Joe Lockhart can go to hell.

I don't consider anyone who worked for Clinton to be a reliable source of commentary on any issue. You had to be compromised to work for the man. Do they all the sudden get a spine and a new set of morals upon termination? Lukehart, get a life bud. Your opinion and $1 might get me a newspaper if I'm unlucky enough to need one. Your opinion alone isn't worth spit.

Based on Lockhardt's rection alone, it's obvious Rush hit a sore spot ... and it should be, they know tht the slime ridden, traitorous, pervert should be rotting in jail.

Bristling over the remarks, Lockhart told the Washington Post that the nation's top rated radio talker should "keep his mouth shut." Imagine if the scandalous pseudo-president had told Monica the same.
Just why are the clinton-admins bobbing to the surface again??? Will we never be rid of their reproach?

Rush has got me ROLLING with the Rev Al Sharpton update theme! Thats the funniest thing I've ever heard!
To: All
Rush says he is now going to dedicate the first part of his program to respond to what Clinton says on Sunday nights. He is going to start devoting the first part of his Monday show to countering what they say.
