Former Clinton press secretary Joe Lockhart angrily defended his old boss yesterday against a 1978 rape allegation and charges that he blew a deal for Osama bin Laden's arrest, after talk radio host Rush Limbaugh suggested the ex-president should be asked about the two scandals during upcoming appearances on CBS's "60 Minutes."
"Bill Clinton won't talk about the stuff the American people really want to know. He's not going to address Juanita Broaddrick or giving the North Koreans two nuclear reactors to play with or rejecting three offers to take custody of bin Laden," Limbaugh said yesterday.
Bristling over the remarks, Lockhart told the Washington Post that the nation's top rated radio talker should "keep his mouth shut."
The ex-press secretary then described Clinton's reported million-dollar "60 Minutes" contract as "just one way to continue being part of the public service system."
Clinton has never denied a rape allegation by Arkansas businesswoman Juanita Broaddrick, who told the Wall Street Journal in Feb. 1999 that he brutally assaulted her in a Little Rock hotel room while he was Arkansas attorney general.
He was asked about Broaddrick's charges just once, in March 1999, and told ABC News reporter Sam Donaldson, "There's been a statement made by my attorney. He speaks for me. I think he spoke quite clearly."
No reporter has ever asked the ex-president about his Feb. 2002 confession that he personally turned down a deal for Osama bin Laden's extradition to the U.S. in 1996.
"We'd been hearing that the Sudanese wanted America to start meeting with them again," Clinton told New York's Long Island Association. "They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America."
Hear the bombshell bin Laden admission that Clinton won't discuss on "60 Minutes."

I still CANNOT believe they are going to drag Robo-Dole in to square off against the Toon and call it a debate. clinton's allot of bad things, but the man is a compelling speaker. He's going to wipe the floor with Dole, twice!
This is going to be the most lopsided debate since "Politically Incorrect"
You know who they need.. Newt Gengrich.
He would turn it into something worth watching. Otherwise, it's just going to be a total beat down that's going to infuriate Conservatives to the point of avoidance.

Just like occurred with Clinton himself on many occassions ... we got a view into the soul of Lockhardt with his snap reply. Underneath the smooth talk and showmanship ... lies abject tyranny and evil ... and not to far beneath the surface either IMHO.
Stay armed - Stay safe physically ...
Stay close to God - Stay safe spiritually.
It takes both.
oh yes. Amen to each and every word in your post, Jeff.

He's going to wipe the floor with Dole, twice! Clinton is resurrecting his Camelot-Wannabe image for Hillary's sake, and the GOP will look dull if Dole is as DROLL as he usually is!
Wow...President Bush must be REALLY good if these Power-Mongers have to pull out ALL the stops to try to win in 2004!
Every trick in the book
But AMERICA won't bite the hook.
WE LOVE BUSH!!!!

It's going to be especially embarrassing when they have to prep Dole with a defibrillator...
(This whole thing is just a nightmare in the making.. )

The bible says your sin will find you out.
Bill Clinton always thought he could skate....but he won't. God said so.

Our beloved President Bush has told us that Saddam is NOT disarming. Doesn't the impreached X42 believe him? He couldn't possibly believe that a President of the United States of American would LIE, could he?

O'Reilly isn't afraid to go into attack mode when he has to. I got in a debate with two liberal professors this morning about Bush (vs. Clinton!). It was very interesting. One of them got quite upset with me, brought up the war and Al-Qaeda not in Iraq (lie) and a bunch of other stuff. It was sooo much fun to see them go off. Hee hee. They REALLY hate Bush. These people will vote for Clinton over anyone else, I know.

Looks like a cross between Webster Hubbell, Bill Bennett, and Jim Traficante.
