And given that only America offers a viable alternative to both militant Islam and secularism-socialism, if we lose the battle here, humanity has a very dark future.

This is an extremely important read indeed.

I hadn't considered the Europeans as representing an identifiable world view before. My only observation is I think there's a stronger undercurrent of pure Marxism and the desire for a truly dictatorial state among Europeans than the author identifies in his article. Their mommy state secular socialism is okay for now, but deep down inside, they really admire much more severe regimes.

Joseph Farah paints a grim and realistic picture. Based on seeing things in a quantitative level, we would be doomed. However, I believe that quality is more important in this technological age than quantity. We have:

High quality media, running circles around the massive numbers of the old left media, which is unwilling to put energy and in-depth research into its agenda.

A high quality religion: one that, imho, generates more courage and determination than even the Islamic faith. A religion that hates kings and loves freedom.

High quality sirens of possession and hedonism: on the other side of the coin, anyone with hedonistic or greed-driven ambitions favor our philosophy as well. I wish we could win without them. But since the Devil can never be defeated by any mere mortal, we must continue to respect their freedoms as well, up to a point. Where the limit is on that is a fine line to draw, I concede. But no one does it better than a US anti-leftist.

High quality respect for other religions: so long as they don't try to oppress or threaten us, we leave them alone. Even when rogue members of their faith go too far, we ask ourselves what the supermajority of their faith intends. That makes us appear weak. But that is an illusion. If, for example, an army of snipers took out 1% of Americans in one month, then sadly, our love of peace would end.

The greatest threats to the US are internal, not external: the leftists. Look at our dependence on foreign oil, and California's dependence on other states. And on a diplomatic level, like Rush pointed out, the only reason why France and Germany were emboldened was mainly because of Clinton, although Bagdhad Bonior didn't help much either. Nor did our leftist actors. Nor did Timber Tom Dasshole, who obstructed everything. Defeat them, and God willing, we win.

Good point. What the left on this shore and Europe have in common is an addiction to marxist views.

This is indeed a very important read... (and please put me on your list)

The analysis that this is a pivotal period in history appears to be certainly true, and I agree with the analysis of it being a three-way race. I do not believe things are as dark as they appear to be now, but that is only because I believe we Americans have always had the courage and character to confront this, and we now have the leadership to execute what we need to do.

Prager is, as usual, incisive.

I think we all know where Islam wants to take us, now. To get a better, deeper sense of what the Europeans' preferred worldview would mean, read John Fonte's classic essay on transnational progressivisim, the secular ideology most directly counterpoised to the individualism and Judeo-Christian moral foundation of the United States.

>>and given that only America offers a viable alternative to both militant Islam and secularism-socialism, if we lose the battle here, humanity has a very dark future<<

This is not new, but must be rediscovered in every generation.

"O ye that love mankind! Ye that dare oppose, not only the tyranny, but the tyrant, stand forth! Every spot of the old world is overrun with oppression. Freedom hath been hunted round the globe. Asia, and Africa, have long expelled her. Europe regards her like a stranger, and England hath given her warning to depart. O! receive the fugitive, and prepare in time an asylum for mankind"-Common Sense, 1776.

The future is Muslim, European or American

The Euros (at least outside of the Anglophone axis) are largely being taken over by the Muslims already. There's only two choices left: us or them.

The article overlooks a couple of important points. Number one, the article overlooks Christian South America and the spread of Christianity throughout Africa. Believe it or not, Christianity is growing slightly faster than Mohammedanism worldwide. Secondly, the article overlooks the devastating effect artificial birth control has had in diminishing the number of Christians worldwide.

Yes he did, and and he also said no-one is "sperading" the American Judeo-Christian Capitalism. I beg to differ, Christians are out there, and capitalism is about growth. In fact, some have argued that the spread of western capitalism triggered Osama's murderous activities because he could no longer stand to see western capital goods and ideas (read women without burkas) creeping into the far reaches of his cave. Of course, capitalism has a very wide reach, as shown by cell phones and internet technologies.
