'Inspectors' denied US access February 24, 2003
US military officials refused a 13-member international delegation entry to an army base after the group asked to carry out an inspection for illegal arms at the site.
MPs, scientists, academics, religious and union leaders from Canada, the United States, Britain, Italy and Denmark were denied access to the US Army site at Edgewood Chemical Biological Center in Maryland, after army officials said they lacked the proper accreditation.
The team had made a formal request to the US Defence Department in the past week for authorisation to enter the site, Canadian activists Rooting out Evil said .
The group charges that biological and chemical weapons, including ricin and anthrax are developed and stored at Edgewood in breach of international chemical and biological conventions.
After being asked by military officials to leave the site, a British parliamentarian and leader of Labour Against the War, Alan Simpson, said: "Had this inspection taken place in Iraq, and had we been denied access to such a site, President (George W) Bush would have declared material breach of Resolution 1441 and authorised war on Iraq."
The group was met by base security, said Army spokeswoman Major Amy Hannah.
"We received a letter from the group," she said. "We heard their concerns."
The letter, addressed to Secretary of Defence Doland Rumsfeld, "will be forwarded to the higher headquarters," she said. "It was all very peaceful. It was very cordial".
The US Army is subject to "a variety of treaties, and we do receive inspections by credentialed inspectors", she said.

I ask again: how did these people obtain visas? Why were they not denied entry to the U.S.? Why were they not arrested and deported at once?

We should turn this around on the Frogs and demand access to THEIR military sites . . . Let's show 'em who is relevant and who is irrelevant when it comes to demanding access. Wonder how willing the Frenchies would be to divulge the amount of commerce in weapons and chemicals they sell to Iraq.

I'd really like to know what that guard was actually thinking instead of saying ;-)

The US Army is subject to "a variety of treaties, and we do receive inspections by credentialed inspectors", she said. But these "inspectors" had their credentials written with the blood of the 100 million victims of communisim and they are SO pround of that.

Yes, it was a three-stage freep in two different states over two days. Rather unprecedented. And the DC chapter only found out about it on Friday night!

The US Army is subject to "a variety of treaties, and we do receive inspections by credentialed inspectors", Here it is in a nutshell...
Exactly something the Iraqi Army is unwilling to admit or carry out.

Did Secretary Rumsfeld change his first name? It's a security measure.

Security is Security!!!! If the folks at the site are not expecting you and they have not been informed of any visit
by higher authorities without any clearance from such higher authorities, such groups or any persons should wholely be expected to be turned away. That's how enemy forces, overt or covert are kept away from our military
installations. I believe this to be a bogus group.

They should have been sprayed with water; someone shout OOPS; and then the military officials make haste in putting on their gas masks!
That would have sent those so-called do-gooders running!
