WABI TV reported Friday that the Maine National Guard Family Assistance Center has received about 30 complaints from children of deployed soldiers concerning Principals, Teachers and Guidance Counselors reportedly demeaning the role of their deployed parent. Some children involved are 7 to 9 years of age.
Here is a letter written to a friend of mine from the Maine Army National Guard:
"Thank you for your interest on this most troubling matter. Our Family Assistance Centers have reported cases from Aroostook County to Southern Maine. We are reluctant to give out specific schools and the individuals involved in the interest of giving the education community a chance to address the problem itself. Also, parents wanted the opportunity to pursue the issue through their local school boards first.
In all, we have over thirty complaints that name schools and individual principals, teachers and guidance counselors. If one considers that these complaints come from just the parents who attended our briefings and only from children who told their parents, we are concerned that the problem may be more widespread than we know.
We are recording the complaints, and I will personally visit these educators to express our concern as a professional organization and ask for their cooperation.
Ultimately, our main concern and first responsibility is the safety of our children during these uncertain times. Maine has a core of dedicated and professional educators, but we will challenge any individual who places our children at risk due to their own political ideologies."

This is WHAT I MEAN when I say that we need to get our kids out of public school marxism altogether. Homeschooling is on the rise and will remain so. WE MUST NOT ALLOW OUR CHILDREN TO BE UNDER THESE "SCHOOLMASTERS"

WHY WAIT? WHY SHOULD WE WAIT FOR ANOTHER LIBERAL BOMBSHELL TO DROP? HOMESCHOOL NOW!!!! I CAN TELL YOU THAT IT HAS WORKED FOR ME (5 YEARS) AND MOST THAT I KNOW.

It really is THAT BAD! The marxist NEA MUST BE STOPPED NOW. They hate America and they are brainwashing our kids to hate Her too. If we do not stop it now, just imagine the next generation. Frightful thought is it not?

Homeschool solves the problem even better. I think education is our responsibility not the governments. Think about it.

Now that we're all focused on the children of our servicemen and women (is "servicefolk" acceptable?), see ATOMIC_PUNK's recent post on
Feed The Children Supports Our Soldiers!I cannot personally vouch for the program and I haven't done the due diligence work I usually perform before making a donation (anything greater than 10% for fundraising gets a no thank you from NVA). However, assuming this is on the up and up, it is a very worthy cause, and something we can support to counteract the misguided fools among us.

I'm sick about this, please don't let this drop. Investigations, firing, public shame.

I agree. Those great children need to know that they should be proud of their parents in the military. Children must learn patriotism now or they have no future to look forward to IMO.

Send the url to Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly. They will follow through.

The Left won the war.
Exactly. We sat on our butts for years while they incrementally took over, and now, they've won. Even with a Republican in the White House and Republicans controlling both houses of Congress, liberalism still grows daily. The only thing that happens now, even in the best of times, is a slight retardation of the growth of liberalism. Our government, our education system, and our media are all too far gone. I don't know how it will all play out in the end, but the left won. All we can do is protect our own families, influence those who are within our personal circles, and pray for God to have mercy on this nation. We can keep fighting, but the war is lost just as surely as Betamax lost to VHS.

No, the war hasn't started, and the Left is not prepared for the war, they are all anti-gun.

"There are indications that this might be a coordinated effort by the teachers union as complaints have come in from as much as 300 miles apart. This is outrageous and should be elevated to national news!"If this indeed is an conspiracy, every single one of these b@stards ought to be rooted out exposed on the major media as for what they are, and who they most likely represent -- LIBERAL ANTI-AMERICA SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS.
Just let 'em try and sweep this under the rug...

Here's a bump. Let's keep this on the front burner! Our troops and their kids deserve MUCH better than this kind of treatment.
When I emailed Hannity and Liddy earlier, I got one of those automatic return emails from the Hannity folks acknowleding that it had been received. Let's just pray now that someone reads it and forwards it to Sean!....or maybe others might be interested in also alerting him and other conservative talk show hosts. If they get snowed with the alert on this story, bet they'll cover it!
Liddy has been ranting about the NEA for years...if he sees this story, bet he'd talk about it.

I just think homeschooling is a better idea than vouchers. I know many new homeschool families who are terrified at first, then the next year, they are leading support groups. I think vouchers only keep government involved. I know some say they just cannot do it, but I can say one thing. It has made my family closer and more respectful than I could ever say. My 13 year old son has already received 5 college course credits and so much more. His social life keeps me way too busy too. We tried Christian school for 3 years and yes, even public school for one year. LOL, I get carried away because I really love it that much. :)

"...preferring to attack children who are forced by law to be in their presence." Oh, no they aren't!
Homeschool. If you EVER get wind that your public-schooled children are being subjected to this sort of total crap, yank 'em out of that Indoctrination Center as fast as you can run and homeschool them.
This article has nothing to do with homeschooling. Deployed soldiers are unavailable to homeschool their children. Our servicemen have to depend on the schools, and they should not have to worry so much about their children being indoctrinated while the parents are on duty. The schools have a moral obligation not to become so politicized, so they deserve to be freeped.

See post 155. The Hannity part already done...however, it wouldnt hurt for others to let him know as well. Receiving multiple notices would let him see just how important this issue is regarded!
Wouldnt hurt to let other talks show hosts hear about this as well. I've already written Liddy as well as Hannity.

NEA abd AFT have become more and more ideological in the last twenty years. As a former member I each, I cocnlude this by observing the changing tones of their publics as they became more and more deeply commiyyed to the policies of the Democratic Party. I conclude that teacher unions should not be allowed to affiliate with political parties.
