WABI TV reported Friday that the Maine National Guard Family Assistance Center has received about 30 complaints from children of deployed soldiers concerning Principals, Teachers and Guidance Counselors reportedly demeaning the role of their deployed parent. Some children involved are 7 to 9 years of age.
Here is a letter written to a friend of mine from the Maine Army National Guard:
"Thank you for your interest on this most troubling matter. Our Family Assistance Centers have reported cases from Aroostook County to Southern Maine. We are reluctant to give out specific schools and the individuals involved in the interest of giving the education community a chance to address the problem itself. Also, parents wanted the opportunity to pursue the issue through their local school boards first.
In all, we have over thirty complaints that name schools and individual principals, teachers and guidance counselors. If one considers that these complaints come from just the parents who attended our briefings and only from children who told their parents, we are concerned that the problem may be more widespread than we know.
We are recording the complaints, and I will personally visit these educators to express our concern as a professional organization and ask for their cooperation.
Ultimately, our main concern and first responsibility is the safety of our children during these uncertain times. Maine has a core of dedicated and professional educators, but we will challenge any individual who places our children at risk due to their own political ideologies."

Maine is a very liberal state and the teachers union is a key player in maintaining Democrat control here. There are indications that this might be a coordinated effort by the teachers union as complaints have come in from as much as 300 miles apart. This is outrageous and should be elevated to national news!

These are not teachers but brain washers.
They are scum!!!!!!

This story would be stronger with some quotes or more detailed evidence of the teacher's doings. Not that I doubt for a minute that the socialists in possession of our kids would stoop to this new low.

These Marxist traitors are cowards in time of war and even bigger cowards when they are "cowering" back at home. Just like the Islamoterrorists, they cannot confront a citizen/soldier, preferring to attack children who are forced by law to be in their presence.
I hope that when the soldiers return home, they get some of these wimps alone and jack their fat, floppy jaws.

.....the teachers union is a key player in maintaining Democrat control here. The people controlling the agenda of the teachers unions are using the children in their control to try to control the parents. Failing that, they settle for control of the next generation of adults.

We are reluctant to give out specific schools and the individuals involved in the interest of giving the education community a chance to address the problem itself. I'll never understand such restraint. This problem is not isolated. It's systemic.

The Maine Guard reports to the Governor, I believe. Governor Baldacci is a Democrat. Any guess as to what party the 'educators' belong to?

As I work in the classroom, I disagree.
The Left won the war.
Be afraid.
Be very afraid.
To: LibWhacker
The restraint is called, "get the facts before you jump."
IF they can prove which teachers did what, then make that known. However, just as any other person is provided with due process, we should allow these teachers to get it as well. Isnt that what we stand up for?
To: MissBaby
That's all I have. The Maine Guard will go on camera but has NOT release the names, towns or schools involved. With over 30 complaints from all over Maine, something is happening out there!

So much for that ruse about maintaining the little tyke's self esteem. These "educators" are guilty of child abuse and need to be brought up on charges ASAP. Parents, complain to an agency that has teeth, get those teachers suspended pending the investigation, and demand the teachers union foot the bill for professional counseling.
Also, let's hope there is a national registry to prevent these teachers from moving to another state and leaving their sorry record behind them.

Yep, names and pictures should be posted on the internet. Think I'll forward this story to O'Reilly.
