Name YOUR FreeRepublic Must Read Members II-Where is Everybody?
Free Republic Thread I bumped Into ^
| 02/22/03

I went through my bookmarks today and noticed alot of the old unaccesible threads and went down memory lane. Where is everybody? So many I can't list but I wonder where they went or if screen names have been changed.
While having some fun and updating this thread
I hope many will also check in or knowledge of new screen names be made known-if they are still here.

There was a poster...a Hindu Astrologer...I used to like to read. He and I didn't often agree, but I found his posts interesting, even though I don't believe one hoot in astrology of any persausion. He had a website too with li\nks to the Hindustan times and such, but I've lost the link. I forget his screenname but I think it started with t a "J". That would be Jai, who called himself the "Cosmic Freeper."
To: Sabertooth
Your posts were awesome on that thread. I've saved some of mine around here somewhere, with the links, especially to LostTribe's Aryan Nations and Christian Identity fellow travellers. I might have saved some of yours too. If I find them, I'll let you know.
I think they are still in "My Comments" area on the database... but that was sometime ago. I could find them or re-create them if needed.
The loss is the example that thread could have made to those who would swallow a line of bilge like that which was being presented.

What a great thread this is, conjuring up memories right and left. The mention of Michael Rivero reminds me of the weirdest time I ever had on FR, a Caity Mahoney thread where Rivero and I were on the same side of the argument.
*pauses till the chills pass*
The people I make sure to read pretty much everything they post:
Section9
Nick Danger
Poohbah
Southack
I love dighton, Sabertooth, dead, Doughty One, Miss Marple, Deb, sinkspur, and many others.
For missed oldtimers, I'll name grreta, Andy Sipowicz, Scotsman, and Don Morgan.

I enjoy the entertaining flame wars when _jim and Illbay show up.

I'm sure I'll think of more later. Don't get mad if you don't see your name here; it's just that this place is full of awesome people!

The 100,000th member, whoever it was, has been banned. I predicted that days ago. There are lots of one day wonders signing up to bugger the war.

My good judgement?
My good judgement tells me that I really need to sleep more than 4 hours a night, but it takes so long to be witty, and clever.
Profound however, takes much longer, and I can only do it during vacations, or long Holiday weekends, so I am witty and clever out of necessity really.
The whole thing began in Cuba, I was witty and clever as a child even, but it didn't take quite as long there because I didn't have to go through the additional step of translating the quips into English.
I would say that this wit was my cross to bear, but they weren't real thrilled about religious icons being seen in public in Cuba, and it wasn't a case of an albatros hanging from my neck either, we had eaten all the albatros by this time.
I thank you for your kind words, and will tell you that you are one of the few people whose postings I actually seek out in FR. Then, I will use my good sense, and avoid what would be without a doubt an imperfect listing of all the people whose voices I enjoy in this forum...some who even HEAR voices...and just say that there are many.
Thank you again my friend.

From a slightly different perspective,
Stavka2, Crazykatz, Marmema, Joan, Honorary Serb and quite a few others who were a lifeline for many of us when Clinton was bombing the Christian Serbs fighting al-Qaeda terrorists and their allies (1999) before it was cool; (plus new poster Destro on the same basis)
JohnHuang2 for his brilliant essays;
LaBelleDameSansMerci for her acerbic wit and intriguing viewpoints which are always worth pondering;
...and just about everybody else except a very small minority who seem incapable of backing up their anti-Serb, anti-Russian, and/or anti-Orthodox prejudices with any sort of truth.

I would have nominated, Pericles if he hadn't been banned that is..

"
The 100,000th member------"Darn! I missed it!
I'd been looking for the BIG O since 99995. Since the 100000 has already been banned, it continues to show the trend of so many new "members". Planned disruptors?
To all our new members --- WELCOME! It's your turn to get the coffee!

I forgot Hoplite. For a couple of years we were alone in the trenches on the Balkans threads (totally and completely alone), with the same unpopular regional and world view. He knew, and worked harder to know, far more than I did, and for that I salute him. Thanks Hoplite. You deserve kudos, and get none, but then, if we had to rely on the affirmation of others on this topic to function, we would be dsyfunctional.
