[history]
Modesto police continue to pursue leads in the Laci Peterson case, and a spokesman said Monday that investigators have made some headway.
Also Monday, Peterson's mother-in-law appealed for help in finding the missing Modesto woman, who was due to give birth to a baby boy last week.

Yes, sounds like LE gave the Rochas a heads up on the warrant and FOX news said the Rochas have been notified as to *why* they are focusing on Scott

I feel very sorry for her too but.. you would think by now that someone would have pointed out just how pittifully unbelieveable her stories are becoming every time she tries to explain Scotty's behavior. And unfortunately since he has clammed up and all these contradictory statements are made by her, there is'nt much LE can be read into them. Also not much if any of it can be used in any future testimony if he is ever brought to trial.

You hit on something. I think someone who broke in, was looking for clues...and something was OUT of sorts, or not in place.
So the person took something to make it look like a family token robbery.

After the last year, I would NEVER take a polygraph. And the only way LE would get in to my house to search would be with a warrant.
I have a neighbor who is LE and he pretty much says the same thing.

PLEASE keep updating, I'm at work, TV deprived.

Well, if someone--a civilian--went in there, found something telling, and told police, that'll come back to haunt the police in any trial of Scott.
I imagine Scott's attorney would try very hard to argue that the civilian was actually acting at the behest of the authorities. In which case, the burglary/search would be illegal, in which case, all evidence springing from it would be inadmissible against Scott.
But... the police are aware of all this. I don't think they would make their evidence dependent in any way on whatever (if anything) the January "burglar" might have told them.

That's progress. If they found something in the house and are going back for more, they should luminol while they are at it.

Oh, I just can't believe it...although people have buried the victims at home before...
Ridenour is saying the house is being searched. He's not sure Scott Peterson is home, or what they are looking for..
This is very strange.
Candice Delong says there are no other people she suspects, except Scott. Scott's behavior is in and of itself, self incriminating and conscienous (sp) of guilt.

Perhaps (and I'm speculationg here) the DNA tests are all back and based on the evidence requested the new warrant.
