Modesto police continue to pursue leads in the Laci Peterson case, and a spokesman said Monday that investigators have made some headway.
Also Monday, Peterson's mother-in-law appealed for help in finding the missing Modesto woman, who was due to give birth to a baby boy last week.

Thanks for the ping rb....So nice being back to work huh...;^) Hows your since of humor today... ;o)
Peterson said her daughter-in-law's due date initially was estimated for Feb. 10, but later revised to Feb. 16. "She noted first pregnancies often go past the due date".
This lady really has an answer for everything, I thank LE needs to bring HER in for questioning.

I have a question, Calcetines. What kind of shop/business do the elder Peterson's own. I found numerous companies in the California on-line records, that they have opened over the years. Art Antique Express/San Diego Crating and Packing/Crate and Ship/Fragil Pak/Marine Camera Distributors/Laser Stock Photos/LSP Collage/LSP/Laser stock Photos CD/MCD/Studio B and a few others are listed to Lee and/or Jackie Peterson.
Just wondered what their business place looked like? Do you know?
Thanks!

I think Jackie Peterson will make any feeble attempt to explain away the things her son is saying. She has to because she doesn't seem to be able to cope any other way. She will continue to defend him to the end. As a mother myself, I would initially defend my child too, but........at some point I think she is going to have to deal with this and I truly feel sorry for her.

WHOA!! And why all of a sudden are they telling the world they are going in to search??
Not like they haven't been there before! Usually, I think they like to get in, do what they're gonna do, BEFORE telling the world.
Psych out??
Since they're being so open with us, it would be nice if they'd continue on that, and be open as to what they find!!
To: Scott
Careful, buddy. We are told that evidence of flight can be used against one in a trial in California.

Thank YOU velvetta, all.
The house is being searched as we speak!
Oh, it is just way too much to imagine that he actually was dumb enough to hide her body somewhere on the premises...but then again. WHY does he not want to spend the night there? Why did he want to put the house up for sale right away?
Wouldn't it be something if they found her THERE?

I'm sure that's what they're hoping!
No bond for Murder One!

There HAVE been people on these threads who have thought she is buried in or around the house...(I wasn't one of them, tho)
Looks like MPD paid the Rocha's a visit, and asked them if they suspected Scott, and they said YES, so maybe that's all they needed to obtain a search warrant!
Crime Scene van is there...sw

Did you hear on FOX something about discussing this search with Laci's parents? I was in other room and couldn't catch the entire thing.
