Black history month is nothing but one month devoted to racism.

HBO has been airing readings of slave writings on it's cable network. Blacks and whites read them with as much feeling as they can muster. I have mixed thoughts on this. I don't necessarily mind the readings. What I do mind is that this is merely being used to extend the time when slavery will take it's proper place in historical perspective.

Slavery is indefensible by any means. It did occur. It did occur in a climate that saw it going around the world. Why the US populace needs to have this thown in their fact each year is beyond me. Surprisingly slavery is still occurring today. Instead of doing readings about slavery, why don't these idiots devote their energy to stoping slavery today?

The only conclusion I can come to is that trashing white americans is the ultimate goal here. Damn our forefathers as slave holders and whittle away at our founding documents. Then replace them with Socialisms historicly disproven principles.

I'm really sick of the voice the minorities exhert in our nation. Sit down, shut up and get to work supporting the positive aspects of our nation. If can't do this, go back to whatever podunk you came from, or at least find one you can stomach and leave. Please!

You are telling me that the childhood rhyme for picking something/someone even w/o any racist content, is actually grounds for a lawsuit because of its racist history???? The part that really gets me is that the judge is letting this continue.

This suit is proof positive that there is nothing further to do in civil rights. When minorities have to stoop to this level, it is quite clear they are scratching the bottom of the barrel.

I'm 38 and the "Tiger" version still sounds weird because I had grown-up on the offensive version. I don't even recite the thing because when I think of it in my mind, I use "nigger" instead of tiger. So make no mistake, it's certainly offensive.

"Nigger" is the only way my father refers to black people...That's just how it was when he was a kid. And because he's a bigot, it's the way it is NOW, to him. I don't use it, and any kids I'm around don't use it, but it will take at least one more generation before it's not something that seems "Normal" to many people. At least in my part of the country (Red Neck Center of the Universe...Indiana).

That being said, this law-suite is a joke and an abuse of our court system. But, Southwest should be smarter than this...They should see something like this coming.
