Large-scale searches for Modesto's Laci Peterson ended weeks ago. Now her family is trying to get the ball rolling again.

Wednesday, Peterson's family announced that it is organizing volunteer searches on the remaining three Saturdays in February: the first is set for this weekend along the Delta- Mendota Canal.

Regarding who called the police....Laci's mom said Ron called....but the Modesto Police Dept's website says this:

On 12-24-02 at about 5:48 p.m., Modesto Police received a phone call from a man stating that his pregnant wife had not been seen since 9:30 a.m. that day.

So you are probably right that both did call.

what do you expect?.....I would have thought peterson should have been treated like a suspect from day one...meaning his home was made a crime scene with all that yellow tape and everything...

they didn't get a search warrent until the 26th which means he had some where from the 23rd or so til the 26th to dispose and clean...

can't blame them that much however....the law has pratically emasculated the cops and the prosecution....they don't even dare call peterson a suspect now in fear of reprecussions...

this is what you get when the leftist take over the benches and the justice system be damned...

I too fear that the cops have either nothing on this guy that will stick or not enough...

I feel nearly 100% that he murdered his wife and unborn child...the cops know he did it...but unfortunately the proof might be lacking.

Hey, I got an idea for a new reality TV show. Get this Peterson guy, the "Preppy Killer" when he gets out of jail on Valentine's Day, O.J., and call it "Criminal Bachelor" or "Joe Criminal" and fix these guys up with girls. Do you think there would be any shortage of girls interested in this?

However I will wait for someone else to report, the last time John South of the NE was on Greta, his statements turned out not to be true, so Greta had to come back the next night and make the corrections. Well now. If any (or especially this part) is true then I think we can safely assume that Amber's M.O. has not changed.
If she was suspicions of SP's "eligibility" or (more likely) knew that he was married, a phone call to the "little woman" had worked before. Why not try it again?
