Hi Firebrand, I see you've made it home as well. I was lucky on Sunday at the airport. I heard a wolf whistle, turned around and saw Bob J. LOL Then Dio came over. I was happy to say goodbye to them. And I enjoyed meeting you too - it was wonderful talking with people at the FRN booth! Until next year, cheers!

he called over to his aide, "Hey, these are those whackos!" I replied: No, we are Middle America!" Thanks... I forgot to mention your excellent retort to Mr. McAwful earlier.
I believe it is Interesting Times who took the photo.
I took a couple of pictures from farther away using Bob J's camera, but the one posted here and at CPAC was taken by Exit148, who also did yeoman's service meeting and greeting folks at the booth. The Shrew and I took her camera to Kinko's to produce a hard copy, then I scanned it and uploaded it to the FRN site and posted it here.

Good morning, er, I mean, ahhhhh afternoon. I slept almost a full 36 hours. CPAC was wonderful, exciting, and I met a lot of great people again this year. You can't imagine the amount of people who either Freep or lurk that I meant wandering around the hall and at the booth.
And of course we have our infamous, er I mean famous freeper from Florida "Seeking the Truth", who singlehandley delayed the VP's appearence at CPAC! He made it into the Washington Post on Thursday! What is it about Floridians? First Gonzo and now ...
This conference is well worth attending for the networking, information and of course meeting other FREEPERS and having fun and brain-storming on where we are going next and how to proceed!!!
The booth as usual, was very well attended by loads of Freepers, people interested in becoming Freepers and just plain ol' curious folk who just might be and probably are Freepers.
Registered's talent shone and was a definite draw. I heard people in the lobby mentioning to others that they should go by and see the display. Thanks Registered! Sorry that I missed meeting you while you were there, maybe next year!
Taxman and I attended all cocktail parties and both dinners. The opening luncheon with Cheney was filled and they had to close it. Sigh, didn't get to meet the VP, but that's okay, I met more important people, the ones behind the scenes who do the actual work, etc.
A great big thank-you to THE CLUB FOR GROWTH and Steve Moore for donating the booth to the NATIONAL RETAIL SALES TAX ALLIANCE. The FAIR TAX.ORG people also shared the booth with us.
The best part, as always, was the time that was spent with other FReepers. I've got to take a break and wait for some more memories to surface. (smoke break time)

" I think of Foghorn Leghorn and the coyote, too." Either it's that 'great minds think alike' thingy or we just watched waaaaaay too many cartoons as kids. LOL

It got the best of him? (Raised eyebrow and laughing - cough, cough - laughing) Tell me more! Is this something that he shouldn't live down?
To: dixie sass; Seeking the truth
Both banquets and all cocktail parties? You win first place Dixie Sass! LOL I agree that it was so great to meet face to face people whose screen names were only known previously. Seeking the Truth was indeed, stating the truth which stirred things up. Good for him. I now own several of the offending items and have no guilt feelings whatsoever ;) It was an honor to meet you both!

"Couldn't agree more." That's good. It's never a good idea to disagree with Taxman and me. ;-) Good to have you on the right side.

Hey, I did more than herd my harem. I was building a new one, and it's hard work. LOL And for your information, I got FReepmail this morning (from a woman, coincidentally) saying that she just registered as a new FReeper.
I want to echo your sentiments, though. There was so much energy (at least most of the time) and a lot of people put in a lot of effort to make CPAC a success for FR.
It was pure delight to meet you, Libertina. You are a joy.
