I have a very special request to make today. My dearest friend is dying.
She's my closest confidant, and truest friend. I am heartbroken.
She's been very sick, but still active, for a year. There's a very serious heart surgery which could save her. But she's made up her mind to die. (And who are we to say what someone else should decide about their death?)
She's terrified to go to the hospital for fear that they'll operate on her heart against her wishes. I know, I know, they need her signature, but her reasoning apparently is that they might do it as an emergency measure if she is unconscious.
She no longer returns our phone calls.
So, of course, I ask for your prayers for Ruth, one of the sweetest, most caring people in the world, either for the Holy Spirit to help her change her mind, or for a peaceful death, whichever God knows is right for her.

You can always ask GOD for "boldness" to speak to her from HIS heart. GOD will give you the words. If she's your friend, don't allow her to shut you out; give it one more try.
I know ... that's asking a lot ... but isn't her life worth it ...??

I'll gladly pray for Ruth. May God speak to her right now..may His precious Holy Spirit enfold her and minister to her at this moment..and may she rejoice in the presence of our God. <><

I'll pray for your friend, for the Lord's will, OK? God Bless YOU for being such a good friend.

kitkat, so very sorry about your friend. It's a shame that she doesn't want to have the surgery that could save her life, but if she's made her decision, and she is at peace with it, all we can do is pray for her.
There is so much sadness in the world. Somehow we manage to go on...
