Boycott Hollyweird Activists!
IPetition ^

http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/hollywoodceleb/index.html
We the undersigned American Citizens stand against Wealthy Hollywood Celebrities abusing their status to speak for us. We do not believe that they have a clear understanding of how we live, what we fear, and what we support. We believe that celebrities Martin Sheen, Mike Farrell, Tim Robbins, Rob Reiner, Barbara Streisand, and others with them are using their celebrity to interfere with the defense of our country. We believe that Hollywood Celebrities use their wealth to make their own personal issues known while Americans would never have the resources to speak out in this manner. We support President Bush in his efforts to defend our homeland, to defend democracy, and to take any measures to end the threat of terrorism. We do not claim to know more than anyone, especially President Bush. We elect a President who we can trust to make proper decisions based on facts available to him and not available to the rest of us. This is one reason trustworthiness and character is important in the people we elect into office. War is not easy, there are many before us who sacrificed their lives for freedom and if supporting citizens in other countries who cry out for democracy and freedom aids in the war against terrorism we support it.
This Statement and its signatures will be published publicly and or delivered to Martin Sheen and Mike Farrell.

Amazing isn't it? Just like one talk show host thought Harry Belafonte was dead.
A lot of these old relics and still-lukewarm celebs would actually be wise to heed the advice of Barbara Eden ("I Dream Of Jeanne") and basically keep their political views to themselves.

If you try boycotting the harmless stars and their OWN PERSONAL VIEWS (just like this board), why not boycott the newspapers, magazines, television shows, movie theaters, rental stores, local news, etc. that support their product and broadcast their thoughts? After all, don't they play as big a role, if not bigger? Where would these people be without these outlets? If a Republican star was spouting at the mouth, would you have a problem? If you were in a positon such as they, would you keep your mouth shut? Freedom of thought, speech, opinion, and damn it, freedom of rights! Just don't watch. Stop wasting your time on stars that are only in the limelight for fifteen minutes!

Garibaldi ran for Congress? As a Republican? When? Where? Why didn't he win? More importantly, why had I not heard of this until now?
Always liked that guy. Now I know why.

Garibaldi ran for Congress? As a Republican? When? Where? Why didn't he win? More importantly, why had I not heard of this until now? He ran in 2000. See the Doyle for Congress Web Site for details. It was no secret.
Always liked that guy. Now I know why.
I saw him at a convention. He's pretty conservative, though probably to the left of many Freepers on some issues. I suspect that some of the words put into Garibaldi's mouth came from discussions between him and the writer/creator. I seem to remember hearing that he and Bruce Boxleitner would get into arguments with Jason Carter who was quite the liberal.

Help Susan, Ben, and Jerry by sending your special message to the President by FREEPING this site. I wonder if they are screening the emails?

Unless she's changed dramatically, Gilbert's more moderate. When I saw her on Politically Incorrect a few years ago, she was blasting someone.. I believe it was Ed Asner. Whomever it was, he was telling her how wrong she was for having a pager and cell phone. She went off saying how she only works when she wants so she can spend more time with her kids and when she is off, even at the store, she wants to be available at all times if an emergency occurs. She was stating how ridiculous it is that she was ridiculed by some for slowing her career because she wanted kids and how did he have the nerve to tell her how to raise them. She really let him have it over his anti-tech and pro-enviro views. She's also tired of the antics and politics of Hollywood according to her statements during that nasty SAG election fiasco. I don't know why someone thinks she's a commie, unless it's simply due to her anti-war stance. Maybe someone can elaborate.

Sarandon Tired of 'Anti-American' Label
Actress Sarandon Tired of 'Anti-American' Label for Questioning Bush Policy on Iraq
LONDON Jan. 29
Susan Sarandon said she's weary of being labeled "anti-American" because she has questioned the Bush administration's policy toward Iraq.
The 56-year-old actress, well-known for her political activism, said there are many questions that need to be asked about the prospect of a war with Iraq.
"I'm tired of being labeled anti-American because I ask questions," she told reporters before the premiere of her movie "The Banger Sisters," co-starring Goldie Hawn, which was released in the United States last year.
Sarandon also said she couldn't understand why British Prime Minister Tony Blair has shown so much support for President Bush.
"What's happened to Blair? I don't understand his reasoning or his logic. I don't understand his evolution," she said. "I can see him being seduced by Clinton but don't understand what he and Bush speak about."
Hawn was less outspoken on the prospect of a war with Iraq.
"I'm an optimist I don't think there will be one," she said.
The 57-year-old actress was content to talk more about her preparation for her role as a former rock groupie who meets up with her friend, played by Sarandon, after 20 years.
"I have a wild side and I'm free-spirited so I could definitely relate to the character. I've had my fair share of dancing on bars," she said.

You need to add two more names to the list -- Jennifer Aniston who referred to G.W. as an "idiot" in an article in Vogue not too long ago and Tom Cruise who said that he would prefer not to raise his children in America. Don't forget Madonna either.
