Man shouting "Save Me!" enters UN compound in Iraq

(Baghdad, Iraq-AP) -- An unidentified man shouting "Save Me!'' has entered the compound of U-N weapons inspectors in Baghdad.

Journalists outside the compound say a man in his 20s climbed into an inspectors' vehicle as it was about to leave from the site.

He was shouting in Arabic.

The man was taken into the compound, a hotel where more than 100 inspectors and other U-N staffers have their offices.

There's been no comment from the U-N and no explanation of the incident.

What BS. The Iraqis have not allowed ONE insepction on a military base. Not one.

Dr Hamza, ("Saddam's Bombmaker") tells of an account where the UN turned over a scientist to Saddam who was trying to defect. (back in the early 90's) The UN will never save this guy, and I truly believe he was trying to defect.

PS. who is sending missile parts to Iraq? Russia,France, Germany, all in exchange for oil deals. Count on it. Both a Russian oil company and a German exploration company have a multi billion dollar deal with Iraq. The French weasels have sold Iraq at least one nuclear accelerator, over the years.

Yes, in other words, those who are urging against war in the Security Council. Here is an example of what Germany has been selling, from a German paper. I've also read that China is giving Iraq considerable assistance with its air defence systems.

Embarrassing is an understatement. It should be treated criminaly. The German govt. has to know, but looks the other way, because of the cheap oil they get from Iraq.

I'm suspecting that part of President Bush's SOTU address will include a partial listing of some of this, and then the question: "Why should we care what these people say on the Security Council, when their countries obviously are violating Security Council resolutions?"

In other words, the UN Security Council can give a report condemning Iraq, or they can be rendered irrelevant - either way, Bush seems to hold the winning hand.

I'm not sure how it would play internationally, but I think I'd rather see them rendered irrelevant.

Generall cooperated? As in openly lying about the type of weapons they have, refusing inspectors entry into Saddam's many palaces, threatening scientists and their families and sending 'minders' along to intimidate potential interviewees?

I have a low opinion of Blixie...but even I have a hard time believing he said this...at least not in the context this article implies.
