The UN will never save this guy, and I truly believe he was trying to defect.

That's my take on the story as well.

PS. who is sending missile parts to Iraq? Russia,France, Germany...Count on it.

Yes, in other words, those who are urging against war in the Security Council. Here is an example of what Germany has been selling, from a German paper. I've also read that China is giving Iraq considerable assistance with its air defence systems.

For others here;
From the article you linked:
"On Tuesday, the Berlin-based left-wing paper, Tageszeitung reported that aspects of the 12,000-page Iraqi report on Iraq's weapons programs, submitted to the U.N last week, could prove highly embarrassing for Germany.

The newspaper - believed to be the first to have access to the top-secret dossier - has written that the Iraqi declaration contains the names of 80 German firms, research laboratories and people, who are said to have helped Iraq develop its weapons program."--

Embarrassing is an understatement. It should be treated criminaly. The German govt. has to know, but looks the other way, because of the cheap oil they get from Iraq.

Thanks for the link!
