It certainly is counter to the propaganda spouted by a leftist I know who is married to a woman from South Korea (he dragged her to the antiBush protest today). He wanted to send a letter the the paper to challenge a recent editorial by James Baker regarding Korea (he wanted to sign his wife's name to it).

I find it hard to believe this rally in support was even covered by the media.
To: weegee
CNN significantly cropped the photo:
An anti-war protester shouts back at a supporter of war with Iraq on Saturday in Washington.
Does not show that the man is having to be restrained to keep him "peaceful".

Covered online to a certain degree (photos were on Yahoo). Don't know how many of them will make it past the editor's desk and in print. Certainly wouldn't expect an equal ratio of photos to accompany the stories.
CNN's website didn't include any of the counter protesters' posters in the photo gallery.
None of the damage from the SF protests was shown either.

In the photo with the lady wrapped in the liberty blanket, the lady in the red hat is freepdom's own Exit 148. She's a heck of a nice lady, and has driven to DC often to participate in freeper protests. Way to go, Joanne!!

As I understand it from some of the other threads, several FReepers got press from the counter protest. Looks like it was a job well done and that our side remained a lot more civil and dignified than the AntiBush/AntiAmericanWar protesters.

When will the media get it right? If someone is holding up a placard "supporting" the current policy, then they aren't "protesters". "Pro-war protesters"? "War/Military action supporters" maybe, "Patriots", maybe, possibly even "Counter-protesters" but it's not our side that's angry or in opposition to current government policy.

The counter protestors sure look a lot better than those old worn-looking hippies on the other side.
