Former Blaine City Council member David White has started a petition to recall U.S. Sen. Patty Murray from office for comments she made recently about terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.

White said he will begin circulating the petition soon and will ask the Whatcom County Republican Party to solicit signatures, then present the petition to federal officials.

You are obviously a subservient woman, if you're not with all the other Liberal Womyn.

We've been hearing for years that all the dislike for Hillary is simply borne out of a hatred for strong-willed womyn. This is the same phenomenon that is occuring with Murray.

Hey Guillermo, the word is spelled W-O-M-E-N.

You obviously have not been around here long enough to recognize sarcasm when you see it.
Go out and find a sense of humor, then come back.

Perhaps Murray can arrange to export the school system she went through to all those who love Osama. That way, the next time they try to kill us, they won't be able to locate America on a map.

Absolutely hilarious bump! Too bad this isn't a freeper quote. It deserves a "quote of the day" award...

While this is a useful symbolic gesture, it has no legal meaning. Even if Washington State has provisions for petitions and recall elections of state and local officials, they cannot be used for federal officials such as Senator Patty (I'm too dumb to swallow my own spit") Murray.

Only the Senate, per the Constitution, has the power to remove any Senator under its Rules. She is not going to be removed by the Senate, nor is she going to quit (like Senator Packwood). The best that can happen is to weaken her for reelection, and tar other Democrats by their association with her and their unwillingness to condemn her bone-headed remarks.

I think what really happened is that Murray confused Osama bin Laden with Hezbollah. The latter DOES have a long history of building and running schools and hospitals -- to go along with its long history of murdering Jews. In terms of cash, Hezbollah may spend more in "helping" and indoctrinating Palestinians than it does in murdering Jews (and others). However, bin Laden's track record is to spend his available cash directly in running his organization and in murdering people.

That would not justify Murray making her comment about Hezbollah, rather than bin Laden. It just means her comments would not be quite so factually stupid as they are.

In a statement last Friday, Murray said Vance and other critics were twisting her words.

It's only "twisting her words" when it's a Democrat. It's "saying what every Republican thinks on the back roads of America" when it's a Republican.

See my post # 84. US Senators cannot be recalled. They con only be removed from office by the Senate itself.

In a statement last Friday, Murray said Vance and other critics were twisting her words. Her spokesman called the senator a victim of a right-wing media machine.

So the transcript of her comments were just a big mis-quote? LOL!!! Patty "I can't spin this" Murray, a true Clintonista.

Patty Murray (D-Osama)

Excellent!

In fact, (D-Osama) applies to more RATS than just Murray.

Please....subservient is not a word I would use to describe myself or Hillary for that matter. It's very naive for you to think that all liberals, especially woman liberals can walk around and spew such garbage out of their mouths and not be held accountable. Instead of blaming the real culprit, you turn this whole thing around (like all liberals)and call me a name.....the truth is that liberals use this tactic all of the time. Instead of coming up with no data to support your theory, you attack and accuse others.

If Sen. Murray can't take the heat then she should remove herself from office and go back to being a liberal private citizen. Liberals can dish it out.....but they can't take it!!!!!!

If I got angry and started recalling every politician that said stupid, dumb, false and pathetic thing every liberal would be out of office and quite a few GOP folks as well.

Would that be a bad thing? In a Darwinian sence we might end up with just good politicians.

Dont be an idiot....

I concur that Murray crossed the line [yes I am white and male], but I am neither racists nor sexist...

With all due respect Guillermo, given your tenure here, that was really a stupid comment...

This guy is a bit of a nut case.

So you are saying that he shouldn't be leading the charge on this? Will someone else in the Republican party pick up the initiative and serve as the lightning rod to a sitting US Senator?

Amendment XIV

Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Doesn't matter. The rats gathered to her defense. Only them members of the same party can assure or compel resignation or impeachment. The history is that the left rallies to their dim bulbs and the right consumes their own.
