I am off to Moran's to join the rest of the chapter in welcoming MadIvan to New York.
I will attempt to post using my pocket PC and my wireless modem as we haven't arranged for a modem connection with a laptop there is no sense on lugging around the extra weight in addition to my camera and camcoder.
We will try to upload some digital pictures as the party is progressing and hope that AT&T has a CDPD node nearby to transmit.
Barring that, we will continue the thread once we get home.

You get my third post, I am sorry we could not talk more but now you have a face to alisasny as I have for you so I am sure we can now get in more heated debate to make a difference in the future.
And Pataki is still the lesser of the weasels...LOL

WE USA freepers need to brush up on our GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, I promise for your party I will bring the lyrics!
Other than meeting all these fine people today, when we sang our National Anthem was perhaps the most unexpected and most touching moment of the day for me.
That and kissing Ivan on the cheek, you lucky girl you!

Hey, wise guys,
The Upholstery has been ordered!
That particular pattern isn't esy to find you know, I treckked all over before I found it! That's why I am late posting.
How many yards will you two be wanting?
HA!!!!
Bunny, glad to have you aboard and you DKNY, Miss labels was suitably impressed with your business card!
She found it on the counter and came running inside to give me the third degree!! I lied, of course and told her you were some big wig at DKNY, she is flipping!
I enjoyed your company ladies, now on to C-PAC!

Sounds great! Thanks, Jim

Well, we can always pray that it falls through!

This is about the point at which the waitresses completely lost their sense of humor and turned stoney-faced! They were already stunned by the chant telling Bill Clinton to step away from the intern. Apologies to Mad Ivan for the pitiful thought heartfelt rendition of "Hail, Brittania!" Many thanks to all for the warm northern hospitality!

Just got home a little while ago. What a wonderful success today's gathering was, Lisa! Mega-KUDOS to you for doing such a fantastic job organizing this event! Great turnout, too - over 50 FReepers, from what we've heard.
It was great to meet MadIvan and so many new Tri-State FReepers and to see other FReeper FRiends again - including several who traveled up from the Washington DC area.
Thanks, Jim, without this amazing website, none of this would've been possible!

We have to go back to Morans for one simple reason when you come to town. So you can give the hostess's a lesson on FREEDOM! I am sure you with your accent it will go a long way!
I wonder if what turned them off most was the we were constitutional loving people or when the good Doc was giving his speech and used the finger to make this point about how we get abused when we go out and freep...

I don't know which of those things had the greatest impact on them, but it was sure a hoot to watch them when we let the Clinton's have it! It was a wonderful afternoon. Thanks for everything!

Thank you for all your hard work.
It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon, with many laughs, like minded friends and so many interesting conversations.
It was great to put a face on so many names I see all the time, especially Ivan.
Moran's was lovely, the food was good and Freepers are fantastic!
Thanks again girls, I know it wasn't easy.
To: alisasny
Thank you very much, Lisa. I'm not sure what I did to help... we showed up a little too late to help with those pens! :-(
I agree... the time just went too FAST! But it was a great time.

Sadly they sit on perhaps one of the closest sights to Ground Zero and still refuse to admit the impact 911 had on their business. Strange.
It was a wonderful place if you ask me.
The woman who helped me plan this party from Morans is going to a new place. She had worked there for some time. I must find out where she is going. Maybe that will be the place for our next party.
