Other than meeting all these fine people today, when we sang our National Anthem was perhaps the most unexpected and most touching moment of the day for me.

Apologies to Mad Ivan for the pitiful thought heartfelt rendition of "Hail, Brittania!" Many thanks to all for the warm northern hospitality!

Just got home a little while ago. What a wonderful success today's gathering was, Lisa! Mega-KUDOS to you for doing such a fantastic job organizing this event! Great turnout, too - over 50 FReepers, from what we've heard.

It was great to meet MadIvan and so many new Tri-State FReepers and to see other FReeper FRiends again - including several who traveled up from the Washington DC area.

Sadly they sit on perhaps one of the closest sights to Ground Zero and still refuse to admit the impact 911 had on their business. Strange.

It was a wonderful place if you ask me.

The woman who helped me plan this party from Morans is going to a new place. She had worked there for some time. I must find out where she is going. Maybe that will be the place for our next party.
