WASHINGTON In a lunchtime discussion this week, Sen. Patty Murray told a group of high-school students to think about how Osama bin Laden's generosity to the poor may have helped him win support around the world.

beaversmom, if this is an example of what you can write when tired, may I suggest you have a bright future in communications? This letter is terrific. You can send pretty much the same one to your own congress critters, Senators, local paper. Just cahange all the "your" to Murray's--works just fine.
Excellent, excellent. We can do this.
I'm off to work soon. See you all later.

I have already sent an e-mail to her reflecting my anger about this. Time to get a petition ready...and then a rope!

As one of her "constituents" I can tell you that no we don't all feel this way. I use the word constuent very loosely. Only to reflect the fact that she is the senator of Washington state---er I mean Seattle. Seattle has become a cesspool filled with the most radical libs in the country. That part of the great state of Washington is having hard times financially. I can only pray that they will have to scatter to far places when the state finally collapses under it's social programs.
Oregon and Washington are very similar. Let the coastal areas of each state combine to form a state. Then create another state comprised of the rest of Oregon and Washington. Instantly we would have a very conservative state and the most liberal state in the union.
We can only pray for this to happen.

"Hi.....I'm in Washington and yes, Murray is MY dimwit senator.....and there is no real challenger for her in 2 years that I know of"
There has been some talk of George Nethercutt taking a shot at the senate seat of the dimwit. He is the guy who took down Tom Foley. Had a "minor" problem with a term limits pledge but otherwise is very popular in eastern Wa.
Speaking of dimwit I saw a poll, similar to those things you see in a high school yearbook, that showed her as the senator with the "dimmest bulb"!

This is not a disagreement with anyone else's thoughts on the subject, but also
Isn't she wanting to send American taxpayers' money to these Muslim countries? Why? Aren't there lots of Muslims who make lots of money selling oil? Lots of Saudis for instance? They are capable and able to take care of themselves.
Plus it would reward them for killing American citizens. We need to punish, not reward them.
Her comments are traitorous and hateful, also bottom line they were stupid, assinine, ignorant etc
She should resign her senate seat, thanks for posting this.

While there are some on the extreme fringes of society who try to exploit fear and uncertainty for political gain, there are many more who understand that the best value of our democracy is the freedom to think and to secure a better future. This, coming from her, is not surprising. After all, the ONLY reason she was elected, the fact that she is known as "the mom in tennis shoes", is a result of the backlash for Clarence Thomas's eventual confirmation to the SCOTUS. She has first hand knowledge of exploiting character assassination for personal gain.
How soon before Senator Thunderthighs from NY jumps in to propose the same VWRC is at work here against this noble but defenseless woman?

Thanks Kate--the only thing that trips me up sometimes is my grammar--I don't know all the rules. I share your outrage about all this. I hope the momentum will stay behind this story so something can be done.

"TomGuy, she sure is backtracking. Too bad it won't work. It shouldn't work. There's just no excuse for her comments."Kate, as much as I'd like to agree with your statement, I must, unfortunately, disagree. It will work. She will get away with it. She will be excused. Why?...because she's a Democrat.
Democrat Ted Kenndey can get drunk, drive off a bridge, kill a young woman, and still be deemed worthy to serve in the Senate. Democrat Robert Byrd can belong to the Klan, use the "N" word on national TV, and still remain in the Senate. Democrat Gary Condit can obstruct a murder investigation (a murder that he himself may have committed) serve out his term in the House, and keep his seat on the House Intellingence Committee. Why? Because they are Democrats.
As we've just seen with Trent Lott, when a Republican is accussed of inappropriate behavior, no explanation is acceptable. No apology is good enough. There is no such thing as giving someone "the benefit of the doubt", then moving on. When you are a Republican, you are expected to pay for any perceived mistakes by forefeitting your career.
The Dems will turn this whole thing around, and portray it as an attempt by the Republicans to "get even for Trent Lott" - and the sheeple will believe it. A week from now, the national media won't even be covering this story. It will be "old news".

See
this:
Murray's spokesman, Todd Webster, called the senator a victim of a right-wing media machine.
"This is being turned into a circus by the right-wing media outlets and fed by right-wing haters," Webster said.
I wonder if "right-wing haters" is like the VRWC?

I think a ton of calls would be even better.
To: RippleFire
What else can they do, they are trying hard to turn this keg of dynamite into a little firecracker. We should also write to our own state newspapers, Senators, ABC, CBS, NBC and see if they comment on her supposedly thought provoking comments.....as well as they did on Lott's words.
This Senator has to go!

The Dems aren't wasting any time, are they?

Seattle has become a cesspool filled with the most radical libs in the country. Some are still here in Maine. It's a sad state we all are in, I mean it. I miss the old America. We are losing rights, Christ in Christmas, God in the Pledge, and Senators that sit on the fence or fall off of it. Really makes you wonder how much longer we will be able to go, under all this "Osama is great, take freedoms away from America" attitude.

The Democrats: Okay to Praise Osama bin Laden, NOT Okay to Praise 100 Year-old Man
Democrat Senator Patsy "mom in tennis shoes" Murray has announced that we can learn a lot from bin Laden. We should study why he is so popular amongst Arabs. So, would it be okay to ask why Strom Thurmond was so popular in the South in the 40's? Should we study this?
I am sure that with her praise of bin Laden, Murray will become the new Democrat hero. Personally, I think it disgusting.
So in closing, I ask you... which of the following two men do you consider more dangerous? To be more evil? To be a bigger threat to our civilization?
THIS MAN:
OR THIS MAN
.
.
.
.
The Democrats have already given us their answer.

Let's Organize to Oust Patty Murray
Please restrain the understandable impulse to blast this nitwit.
We should organize a "Stay, Fight, KEEP TESTIFYING!" letter-writing campaign to
make sure Senator Murray keeps yapping her nonsense.
Murray was one of the chief strategists of the Democratic electoral tidal-wave
this past November (yes, that's a joke).
Senator Lott out of sight, Senator Murray showing the truly nutty soul of the Democratic
Party...
that is the best of all possible worlds (for now)...

A ton of calls is an excellent idea.
