Those Senators are in their home districts for the holidays. They are getting an earfull from their home bases. Much could change between now and Jan 6. Lott's lot (pardon the pun) isn't set in concrete for him to retain ML.

They realize that if Lott doesn't quit the Senate, that they are much better off with him still as ML. All the more reason that the GOP has to remove Lott as ML.

Well, if Jesse gets the Senate to retain Lott at ML, then Jesse and the Black Caucus can force Lott toward their issues (i.e., overcompensation).
