The best thing for blacks would be for Lott to stay, he'll be busy overcompensating to prove he has changed.

You betcha. That's why this story's been planted. The 'Craps just realized that if they are successful at driving Neville out of SML, they'll lose their biggest lever against Bush.
Sort of like Toricelli. We did such a good job of demonstrating what a crook he is, the 'Craps panicked and pulled him off the ticket. Add one pliable NJSC, and you have a seat held by an ancient 'Crap.

The best thing for blacks would be for Lott to stay, he'll be busy overcompensating to prove he has changed. The best thing for African-Americans would be to realize why it's in the interest of Jesse Jackson and other power-hungry Democrats to keep them powerless and "on the plantation."

Larry Elder says he'll be ready to support slavery reparations before this is all done.

That's already bean floated...
Although I hated to see him Borked for stupid remark (aka mountain out of molehill) I think he should go.
I thought he should go before, I just hated to see it done this way.
Although many of us here do not like the spineless jellyfish Lott, it is not good to let democraps do this to the speaker.
They are going to do it again to the NEXT speaker.

he'll be busy overcompensating to prove he has changed.I don't see how he can OVERcompensate. The Republicans have given the Rats virtually everything they wanted. Bush calls it "stealing issues". I call it "embracing the liberals' agenda".

Absolutely! Maybe we should just call him Luke Lott. "I got my mind right now, boss. Please...jus' don't hit me no mo'!"

The best thing for blacks would be for Lott to stay, he'll be busy overcompensating to prove he has changed. Exactly, that's why Jesse and the Gang are now standing up for him. If the ass-kissing, cheerleading, Vacant-Lott stays, expect to see serious consideration given to slavery reparations.
I've never been a fan of Lott, but I've been sticking up for him against this race-baiting lynch mob the past week. But if he's intent on making a bad situation worse by adopting the racial demagogues' agenda just to prove what a "changed man" he is, I'd just assume see his groveling posterior hit the road.

The GOP is screwed now. If he stays, well, you know what happens. If he leaves Jesse and company will say, "This man poured his soul for redemption and his own racist party kicked him out.
