Well, if Jesse gets the Senate to retain Lott at ML, then Jesse and the Black Caucus can force Lott toward their issues (i.e., overcompensation). It is a way for Jesse and the Black Caucus to get the upper hand over Lott and put Lott at a power disadvantage. (Buy out; sell out; shakedown--sounds like the making of a rap song)
