Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!

Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

"Fox news just gave a report. Said turnout so far in New Orleans is low and fairly high in GOP areas. They warned it will be a very long night."

Fox News was very conservative in predicting the outcome of the Fla race for governor in Nov. They kept pretending it was going to be a close race long after it was obvious Jeb would win. Maybe this Fox slant is good news today>

There is a lot in what you say.

The 1.5 million is a round figure, but the exact turnout appears in the area of 1,422,600. This is one of the highest for any election in La. history.

I am not so sure I would call black turnout "depressed," though in Orleans one might almost say that. What the Rats will refuse to admit, is that they are losing close to 20% of the blacks who DO cast ballots. They could sooner live with the idea of a poor turnout, than ever admit that, to us or to themselves.

"Then, those who have not showed up will get a knock on the door in some cases."

By Republicans?? Truly astonishing.

What they say: "It'll be late before we know the results of this election."

What they mean: "Stay tuned, i'm important, pay attention to me, watch the commercials."

Oh... don't get me going on Cal Thomas (and his friend, Pr. Dobson --not Dr. James Dobson). They seemed to get overconfident in what the Christian Coalition would be able to do, a decade ago, then wrote a book saying (opinionated paraphrase) that organized political action for social conservative Americanism is beneath the high calling of assembled Christians, afterall. (Pardon the end-the-post Barf-Alert)

Apparently we also have a new young man in Congress from Louisiana on our side of isle, I don't know anything about him, but his predecessor was quite ineffectual as a Congressman, despite being a Republican and his heart being in the right place...

This race shows some 1.5 to 4 points higher R than the Terrell race, the lower Terrell is put then the more he is above her, and vice versa.

They were all slow calling Florida because they didn't have exit poll data and, well you know, it's Floriduh!

If Fox is sending out such signals right now, it gives me hope that they've peeked at some preliminary exit polling. Once those guys have it in their head, they just HAVE to find a way to let it out. Boy, I sure hope that's it.

Hi Lynn. Nice to see you here. There's not a doubt in my mind that Landrieu got her seat illegitimately in the first place. I think a few more Republicans are starting to pay attention. At least I certainly hope so, and I hope that when we start making some headway that we don't start getting complacent again. For some reason, we have a much harder time staying motivated than the Rats.

I find it interesting that many in Canada, and Australia too for that matter, seem to have more interest in our political system than many Americans. Why do you think that is?

Have you checked out the thread on voter fraud?

From watching Fox, by impression is that their preliminary data shows Terrell in a win by more than several points, but they don't dare say so four hours before the polls close.

Then, too, the cemetary votes haven't started coming-in yet, either...

I thought 20% was overoptimistic myself... FNC is saying 10%... is the 10 percent difference enough for Terrell to lose?

I work the area between Read and Michoud Blvd in New Orleans East for my job. About 1PM I weas going down Read Blvd and saw some black protestors holding signs.

It said,"Mary, If you don't repect us, don't expect us."

They were holding 2 corners although farther down the Blvd was plastered with Landrieu supporters. Although they stayed a short time and were sparsely grouped.
