LOL .. it would be fun to watch
You have the best memory, I thought I met you at the Canteen! I had forgotten about searching for the Conway Twitty Christmas CD last year but it wasn't a total wate of time I found the Celine Dion Christmas CD that I love on that search.
Speaking of Christmas music this seems like a good time to mention the upcoming Christmas Music Special that we're having here on Dec. 23. I hope everyone will be finished with their Christmas shopping and can kick back with us here at The Finest's and enjoy all the music that day....I know...shameless plug. :)
Ladies' Guild Rocks...MUD
Outstanding!
Did I ever tell you that I won a contest with your Choc Chip cookies? Ha ha...Well, I don't imagine there were many entries because it was a contest at my dentist's office. He gives out toothbrushes on Halloween so not too many of his patients would probably bring him cookies.
I am reprinting the recipe...I have made lots and lots of chocolate chip cookies and these are very special.
To Die For Chocolate Chip cookies.
4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup butter room temp
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil, Wesson preferable
1 tsp cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg, slighty beaten
1 bag chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts
Preheat over to 350. Sift together the first 4 ingredients, set aside. In a large bowl with mixer at high speed beat butter until smooth. Add sugars and beat until combined. Reduce speed to medium: beat in next 4 ingredients until combined. Reduce speed to low: beat in flour mixture until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
Drop be 2 tablespoonfuls 2" apart on to cookie sheets. Bake 16 minutes. Cool for a couple minutes before you put them on a rack. They are crumbly at first.
Am so enjoying being on the KingArthur flour mailing list. And a local store now carries KingArthur flour but they only have the Wheat-Gluten one.
When I first joined FR the Guild was one of the first sites I checked out. A friend told me they had a great time every day.
Well, I finally got up the courage to post and Voila! What fun! They treated me like a long lost brother. It was great!
Don't know how they'd treat me now but I think I will call on the ladies again. : )
Of course, I know Louie's 'home' is 'Finest'. : )
They even suffered the indignity of having their recent live thread (I think the Emmy's?) moved from the main section to the cheesehole smack dab in the middle of the thread!! lol....
I am glad you showed up today. You are the owner of the "stickman hello" which has delighted so many at the Guild. Thank you for finding and sharing him....
