VANITY: Need pictures of Pres Bush with binoculars with lenses open and clinton's covered
Posted on 11/13/2002 11:52:55 AM PST by PhiKapMom
Excuse the vanity because I hate vanities. That said -- I need HELP! I just received an email with a picture of President Bush looking through binoculars with the lense caps on which is identical to the one of Clinton earlier when the lens caps were on. I remember seeing the picture with the lens caps off for President Bush and on for Clinton!
Believe I saw the comparison on here and comments made but I cannot find! Does anyone else remember or am I dreaming!
Thanks much!

Rense has lots of links to articles - the only reason I ever go there.

Yeah, the right ocular is angled slightly downwards. Not a very good Photoshop job...

I wouldn't doubt it, but I think BWB would pose with the caps on, just for a picture, but Clinton would have just stood there for hours looking into blackness if he thought that would help him with his legacy.

I was thinking the lighting on the lensecaps. Doesn't seem to match, angle-wise.

I remember this. Bush initially looked through the binoculars with the lense caps on (they were handed to him that way) but quickly stopped and took the caps off when he realized he couldn't see anything. Clinton kept on looking through the binoculars even with the lense caps on. I guess he was too concerned about drawing attention to himself so he decided to continue looking at nothing.

I think that's an accurate photo. Someone told me that Bush also had the caps on when he first looked through them, but he immediately realized that the caps were still on so he took them off.
I had Clinton picked as a fraud a long time ago, but it was his acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention in 1992 that helped me convince others that this was the case. In particular, his numerous gestures to quiet the crowd down even when nobody was cheering were clearly part of a poorly-orchestrated act.

You're pretty good at the sleuthing.
Good eye.

You are so right about rense.com. I responded to a photo posted there about a year ago, a photo showing two Israeli soldiers posing with the body of a dead Pali terrorist. My post said, in a nutshell, "Good hunting." You wouldn't believe the flames I received, most misspelled, most unsigned. Definitely wack-jobs.

But why do the military guys keep handing Presidents of the United States binoculars with the caps on? Is is some kind of running joke? A gag? A plot to stymie people with internet pix websites?

Whoever doctored it wasn't to smart...
...they forgot to wipe out the lens caps showing they were off. LOL
Thanks, Mud. Good laugh.

The joke about rense.com is their continual treatment of LaRouche as a serious commentator.
Did you notice the latest? They are criticizing the Moonies as a way to win points with the Christian Right. I don't like the Moonie doctrine, but if LaRouche/Rense are going to think that they'll win me over to their WEIRDNESS by going after the Moonies, they've got another thing comin'.

"This is from www.rense.com - an anti-Israel, anti-Bush, pro-Larouchie wackjob website. It is also very much anti Clition, WTO, IMF, Patroit Act ATF, FBI coverups etc...but is pro gun, and freedom, but having said that they seem to be in Bush's face a little hard, and there is that UFO/bigfoot stuff...

Looks doctored. Not necessarily doctored.
When you first look through binoculars, how long does it take to realize that the caps are still on? It's certainly plenty of time to snap a couple of quick frames (especially with a motor drive on your camera).
Notice that W doesn't even have the eyepieces all the way up to his eyes when this picture was taken.

A plausable scenario, when you consider the photographers are members of the liberal press corps.

I didn't say it's all bad, but then again, it's not FR......................................................................................
