Simon and Davis are now dead even with 25.4% reporting.
I fear there are still many heavily Democratic areas to be counted (but don't *know* this for sure) but am very encouraged nonetheless. Simon has a real chance!!

CURRENT HOUSE BREAKDOWN - REP 215 DEM 196 IND 1 - 23 Undecided. 3 Seats and HOUSE CONTROL IS OFFICIAL!

WOW.
Tom Murphy going down has to be one of the biggest upsets in the country. That would be the equivalent of South Dakota voting Daschle out, or MA voting Tip O'Neill out. That guy has always steered warehouses full of pork to little 'ol Bremen, GA. What the heck happened, was he found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy?

Drinking alcoholic beverages is a ROTTEN thing for an expectant mother to do! I thought you people were all "for the children."I thought that DU post was written by the FATHER, no?
To: The Person
Carl Cameron on FOX says Thune all "giddy" because he is within 3000 votes, and the western part of SD hasn't reported yet - it is predominately Republican.
To: The Person
A DUher points out the (what they think is) bright side:
Why the long face? Hold head high! Hey, why the long face? Sure, we may have lost control of the Senate (who knows, it's still early). But we have made some very important wins.
Example: In Rhode Island, the good citizens of Providence have voted in an openly gay Mayor, by a landslide!
If this isn't progress, I don't know what is!
Look for small victories in unusual places, and you will see that we are still a force to recon with!

Ron Kirk just conceded.
Don't know how he'll survive now without the kickbacks.
