Sounds like another "jumpin Jim Jeffords" is in the works.

Who would jump?

I hope Jeffords has a desk small enough to fit in a toilet stall in the basement of the Senate ... (LOL !!!)

California Governor Grey Davis (D) 37% loosing to challenger Bill Simon (R) 57%.

Unfortunately, only 1.3% of the returns are in -- polls just closed 15 minutes ago.

PA 13th Cong. Dist. 77% reporting
BROWN, MELISSA 78,622 48%
HOEFFEL, JOSEPH M. 84,090 51%

Without knowing what precincts were counted, it's hard to tell if we've got a potential pick up here. It sure would be nice to knock off Clinton suck-up Hoeffel.

Carville said "Only three candidates can win the Senate for us now---the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost."

That's great! There's noone better to have their noses rubbed in it than Carville. Maybe MaCauliff too.

That's a House seat -- not a Senate seat -- that Connie Morella has lost to Chris van Hollen.

TO ALL OKLAHOMANS:

Currently 83% reporting, Henry 45%, Largent 41%

Being an optimist, I hope Largent catches up. Anyone know the OK Election laws regarding runoff races, and under what circumstances a race might come to that?

Rudy is a huge factor in the GOP's success. I think he deserves much of the credit for the GOP making the gains it has nationwide. Rudy for SEC Chairman!!!

When was the last time, if any, that a mid-term election was this important in modern history? (I don't know and am hoping you can tell me.) Most of my nails are chewed off and my chest feels tight....... Am I over-reacting?

"So take your choices for #44. Any more offers?"

My choice remains the same: Jeb for Florida Gov (INC) in '02, and Jeb for Prez in '08. Sorry. I personally LIKE the man. As a leader, and as a person. As with his brother, it's a hard combination to beat, loyaltywise.

Here in Illinois I feel like I'm in about the only state with nothing to cheer for.. Well, maybe losing the govornership will be a stimulus to wake up the party here...
