Voted at 7:50 this morning in San Antonio. Walked right in.
I told my 11 year old daughter that the responsible way to vote is to study the issues, decide where I stand on the issues. Study the candidates positions on those issues, and then vote straight Republican. She is anti-abortion, pro-tax cuts, pro individual responsibility. I am so proud of her.
BTW: My wife had an ACL repair last Friday and wants to vote in spite of the pain. They told me they would carry the ballot out to the car so she doesn't have to hobble into the polling place. I'm taking her down to vote as soon as I finish this post.

Voted absentee - straight Republican ticket. Go Simon!

VOTED! Our polling place ws busier than I've ever seen it. But I live in NE and we can't help change the senate count. Hagel is winning in a land slide.

Dateline: Western Loudoun County (Virginia) Voted at 6:00 (2nd in line); worked polls (urging people to vote against the sales tax) for two hours, set to go back this afternoon.
Turnout was good to above average. Most in this region are against the Sales Tax increase. All Republicans on the ballot are winners (Frank Wolf and "turncoat" Warner). Held my nose and voted for "I needa John" Warner.
Wolf victory par-tay tonight near the airport - maybe I'll go.

Assuming that your FR alter-ego hasn't posted on here, remember to add one to your count then. <VBG>

I didn't have to wait long, but there were several people in the precinct. I had the same poll volunteer that I have had the previous three elections. And again, she couldn't get my last name right, even after I handed her two forms of I.D., pronounced it for her, spelled it....argghhhh! And after I repeated the first letter of my last name FOUR flippin' times, she still insisted it was something different. She looked like she was around back when they voted for Caveman Captain using rocks for chads. Sheese.
Anyhow, there were far more "Jeb!" bumper stickers in the parking lot than there were other (or non-stickered) cars. The ballot was a bubble type (fill in the blank circle) as usual, complete with GIANT PRINT instructions. No police. No one turned away that I saw.

Sorry Mud. I made the mistake of voting for Perot in 92. I learned my lesson then (I know, I know but my conversion to a rabid conservative wasn't complete then). You know I really don't like Warner but.... I'm still pushing Virgil Goode to run for his seat next time! JW really annoyed me with his pro-sales tax stand. If I lived in NoVa, you can bet I would've voted against it.

I voted 10 days ago...does that count?

I was one of 49,000 New Mexicans who voted early.
Voted straight Republican ticket. (Domenici, Wilson, Sanchez) The offices that had only a Dem running I didn't vote on at all.
Also voted against Constitutional Amendment 2 which allows "idiots" and felons vote.

Voter turnout reported very heavy in Montgomery County and Baltimore City...

I voted straight Republican, although in Illinois now, you have to vote for each office individually. You can no longer punch one # for either party. I left the unopposed Democrat blank and also voted for the 7 Republicans running for our county board district. There were 8 candidates for 7 seats. The 8th one was a Democrat. Hopefully, being listed first on the ballot will help Jim Ryan and Jim DurKin.
Bill in Morton.

I voted in South Carolina. Straight Republican.

That is just too funny!

Been out and voted enroute to work. Turnout in Georgia, and more particularly, metro Atlanta is very heavy this morning -- even with heavy rain and thunderstorms. GA Secretary of State Cathy Cox is predicting a 55 to 60% turnout, which would be a record for a mid-term election.
The new touch-screen balloting machines work like a dream. They're easy to use, and I was in and out of the poll pretty quickly.

"Also voted against Constitutional Amendment 2 which allows "idiots" and felons vote."You and me both!
(But if "idiots and insane persons" aren't allowed to vote, how is it that Bill Richardson will probably be elected governor?)
